Dr. Gottesman is a kind and capable physician who spends a fair amount of time with you once you secure an appointment. That being said, the office is managed so poorly, it becomes frustrating to deal with this practice. God forbid they ever answer the phone or respond to an inquiry in a timely fashion, regardless of whether you contact them through the patient portal, as they strongly suggest you do. And should you ever need a prescription refill, it goes neglected for days on end, even when the pharmacy makes multiple attempts to request the refill on your behalf. The failure on the part of this office staff to respond to any type of contact whatsoever, is so unprofessional, it makes it very hard to recommend Dr. Gottesman or want to continue using him as your Gastroenterologist.

If you have something that a first year med student can diagnose, you don’t mind waiting and waiting and waiting for test results that the office has had for a week and love to deal with office staff (Geisla) who is rude and acts like you are bothering her, this is your doctor!

Only wants to do colonoscopy’s. If he can’t figure out what’s wrong with you, he’ll call it IBS and send you on your way, not addressing all symptoms. Does NOT go the extra mile, not progressive. Only communication is via his portal. Assistant Gisela is rude, not a thorough communicator, acts put out if asking for more information, Forget about your emergency, he’s overbooked a month out; tells you to go to the ER instead; they in turn advise you to see your primary Dr. Find another Dr.

Dr Gottesman is a good doctor but does not like confrontation. When I questioned him about his slowness in responding to my test results, he answered curtly. When I asked him about the cause of my condition, he sarcastically replied that I would have to ask God. His responses to me after this were not cordial nor respectful. I know that I was respectful to him but he then treated me with contempt after I questioned him.

First of all the receptionist is efficient, helpful and got me in right away. I appreciate how electronic and up to date their system is. I saw the NP, Ashley... Wow, honestly one of the best dr. visits I’ve ever had. Ashley was so thorough, patient and really took her time to listen and ask the appropriate questions. She put my worries to ease instantly and above all she was also friendly and charismatic!

If you are looking for a doctor with a rigid staff, who does not listen to you, does not return calls or allow you talk to the doctor when you are in serious pain, or offer any compassion, then this is the place for you. I became very sick and was never allowed to talk to the doctor b/c he was too booked. But he ordered tests, one made me very sick. I immediately went to his office in distress, his staff acted put out and told me to "go 2 ER if U feel that bad." I did and had emergency surgery

Friendly, informative, encouraging! We are so very glad to have had the opportunity to speak with him. We've searched for and continue to search for what helps improve my overall health. Dr. Gottesman encouraged us to continue to work to find the blend of what works for me individually as I struggle with gastroparesis.
