Dr. Andrew Fine, MD

I’ve been very impressed with Dr Fine but his staff is troublesome. Very poor patient interaction and care. Bordering on incompetent, losing scans, over scheduling and blaming patients.

On occasions my appts had to be rescheduled, I understand ER surgeries or ones that could take longer. I know if I was the person on the OR table I would hope the patient being rescheduled would understand that sometimes things out of our control happens. I truly feel that Dr. Fine is a gift to all who have the opportunity to receive his services as I believe his skills are from a higher power than ourselves.

I had scheduled two appointment with Doctor Fine over the past five months ,but both were unexpectedly cancelled on the day before my appointment day,As a Muslim ,I understand that emergencies can happen, the consist cancellations have made me feel that my name might have played a role in the doctor's decision not to see me, given that he is of a different religious background,I want to emphasize that my concern is not with the doctor's faith, and I deeply respect people of all religions, I simply hope that all patients, regardless of their their beliefs, are treaded with fairness and respect.Healthcare should be a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone

Thank you, Dr. Andrew Fine, neurosurgeon, and the Neurosurgery team.My surgery was February 8th, 2024. I had a ruptured disc at C5 & C6, repaired by discectomy and fusion. It’s been almost 4 months. I should have written this review earlier, but life happens. Plus, I still am having a hard time believing the pain that I lived with for 15 yrs. is truly gone. No more pain! I feel wonderful! Yes, I am still recovering, bones are healing, but I feel so good that I must remind myself not to push too hard. I spent one night in hospital after surgery. After I left Sarasota Memorial, I took no pain medicines. Only took an occasional at bedtime Acetaminophen. For what I would call a little discomfort not pain. I felt great, was able to move around, walk around and even had a good time watching the Super Bowl, days after. After my 3-week visit I was able to drive.When I met him, I found a very calm, soft spoken, knowledgeable doctor, with great bedside manners. Thank Dr. Fine

Sadly, I have to give the office staff of Dr. Fine a zero. They didn't mess things up once or twice, but three times starting with an MRI, second time with who I was going to see and third time canceling the appointment with the wrong person. The supervisor of scheduling did not return my phone call. In addition, no one answers the phone's. It's a very sad situation for people who are struggling with spine pain to not be able to talk to

All recent attempts to see Dr. Fine to review current status/condition of his previously performed cervical spine fusion have met with failure. Six (6) appointments in a row were cancelled with 4 -6 week intervals to reschedule each appointment. Been in pain over 7 months and have not been able to access Dr. Fine. His staff has been rude and useless. Now going elsewhere.

Dr Fine and his office staff are amazing. Will never go to anyone else. Brett is the best.

My first visit to this clinic was a huge nightmare. This clinic lost my medical records twice, once after confirming they found them. Proper protocol and security of confidential patient medical records should be as they are with most clinics a high priority, but this location takes the boobie prize. The receptionist was rude and condescending beyond pale. The office manager accused us of never dropping off any MRI disc or xray report. Im sure a phone records check will show when they called me.. We took my only copies to their office weeks before the appointment. With this level of incompetence and now mistrust, this location proved to us both to be both dangerous and a laxidazical clinic with poor business practices and terrible front desk support or communications. The first appointment they hosed up by not obtaining the documents and images from the agency who made this appointment with this clinic for my low back injury. This was just for the initial opinion. I'd hate to see

I found the Brett (Dr. Fine's Assistant) very capable and caring. However, the office staff does not inspire confidence for the practice. Original call they said they would get my MRI images; week before appt said I needed to bring the CD of my MRI; day before appt told had to cancel the appt since they didn't get it in advance. Rescheduled appt. Told I needed surgery and that someone would call me. Week later; no call. Left msg and finally got a call back. Surgery scheduled. Send message on their portal to: confirm new location and date of surgery, they would submit pre-authorization and have someone get back on estimated cost of surgery. It's now a week later and I haven't heard back from them. Nor is there a pre-authorization request with my insurance.

I was beyond impressed with my experience with Dr. Fine. From my very first consultation to the follow up care I have received after my surgery, I knew that I was in the hands of a professional who would take excellent care of me. I can say unequivocally that the surgery Dr. Fine performed on me has changed my life. Cervical Spine surgery is a major endeavor and I was expectedly nervous. I am pleased to share that all of the pain and symptoms I had been experiencing due to my condition have completely ceased. The quality of my life has dramatically improved and my family and I cannot thank Dr. Fine enough.

I have been a patient of Dr. Fines for over 5 years. He is a very caring and considerate physician. Even though I needed a cervical fusion, he was very patient with monitoring my condition until I was mentally ready. My surgery went so well, my recovery was effortless and after 9 months you can't even see a scar! He is wonderful!

Dr. Fine is a talented and brilliant surgeon.Dr. Fine is always on time. Good sense of humor and compassionate.

Kind smart man. Surgery is not his default. Sent me to therapy which worked wonders.

I know this might sound stupid, but Dr. Fine saved my life. I hurt my neck working for the state of Fla and had to work a hurricane shelter and got hurt lifting a patient. I never had a workers comp. Injury before. In Fla workers comp you can never choose your provider they don't give you a list to pick from, they choose for you, I was in so much pain with my neck I could not handle the pain just holding my head up all day and working .got sent to all the workers comp Dr. And all of them were pretty rude, they truly didn't care and treated me poorly because I was workers comp I spent 4 years in so much pain still working and I was just gonna give up and end it, I fighted to see Dr. fine and they let me. so I said to myself wait till you see Dr. Fine before I make a crazy choice about my life, Dr. Fine seen me treated me with respect and did my neck surgery, THANK YOU. Gave honest expectations of what my outcome would be, because the nerve's in my neck were impinged so long .

I waited 1.5 months to see Dr Fine and drove 1.5 hours. After my first visit and surgery I am so excited to have my life back. Amazing bed side manners and treated me with highest respect and confidence. I would recommend him to everyone.
