I was a patient of Dr. Cunningham for several years. While he was never an exceptional doctor, my medical needs were relatively simple, and he was able to meet them. However, over time, his indifference toward my care became increasingly apparent. Doing the bare minimum would be an understatement. My most recent and final experience with Dr. Cunningham was during an especially difficult period in my life. I was visibly upset and sought his guidance on whether I should pursue additional support. Instead of offering any compassion or direction, he dismissed my concerns. He essentially told me to figure it out on my own—seek help if I wanted, but he would not assist me in any way. His complete lack of empathy was both hurtful and unprofessional. During that same appointment, Dr. Cunningham ordered several lab tests without explaining their purpose. I only discovered this later when reviewing my patient portal. Upon reading my chart, I was shocked to find blatant inaccuracies. He falsely documented that he performed a physical exam, which never took place. He also noted that I was notably upset, yet contradicted this by stating I had a normal mood and affect. When I brought these discrepancies to his attention and inquired whether he had billed my insurance for services not rendered, he admitted to using a generic template for his notes and failing to update it accurately. Rather than take accountability, he informed me he would no longer see me as a patient because I had questioned his documentation. To add to the frustration, he was consistently late to appointments, often making me wait 30 to 45 minutes past the scheduled time. Patients deserve better. You have a choice when selecting your primary care provider. I strongly encourage you to avoid Dr. Cunningham and seek out a physician who values your time, well-being, and trust.

Very Professional
I've never had a problem with Dr. Cunningham and I've been with him for years. I would agree that some of his front office staff could use a little customer service training but I go there to see the doctor, not his staff.

Nurse's Time More Important than Patient
This morning, I attempted to ask Dr. Cunningham or a nurse on his team to explain to an Intellectually Disabled woman I work with that her medication's color and shape have changed but that she should still take it, as she had been cheeking it. Dr. Cunningham was out of the office, but his nurse refused to even consider taking two minutes to help this woman. She just told the front office staff no without even coming out to talk to Dr. Cunningham's patient. Even the office staff member said at one point, 'This is embarrassing.' The other two woman in the front office seemed amused by the whole situation. If Dr. Cunningham's team is unwilling to help individuals with disabilities with the most minimal amount of care and compassion, Dr. Cunningham could explain this to individuals and their guardians so that they can consider other, more compassionate practices for their care before choosing to work with him and his team.

Horrible visit. I will never return to his office. He could care less about your medical condition. What a loser for a doctor. Pompous would be a compliment for this guy.

Dr Cunningham seems to be always in a hurry to not exceed 5-10 minutes per visit. The few times I had a consultation with him, he was always in a hurry, glossed over my chart, and did not examine me. He is very quick to send you for testing and/or prescribe medication, and he seems to be bored and uncaring. He has always been late and overbooked, making patients wait, as if our time is not valuable at all. I understand emergencies sometimes arise, but when you have to always wait over 30 minutes for your scheduled appointment, it seems more a pattern than an occasional and unpreventable delay. The staff seems to also be particularly unfriendly to minorities.

Spent several years trying to find a good doctor that listens & doesn't over prescribe just to get you out the door. Finally found Dr. Cunningham. He listens very attentively. Never seems to jump to medications or surgery like most MDs I've tried in the area. I had problems with a sore/swollen throat for 15 years-he was the first Dr to identify i was acid reflux. He fixed my back problem with PT - other Drs pilled me up & threatened surgery. Great to finally find a Dr who's opinion I trust.

Doesn’t listen to concerns or follow up. He’s very quick to order expensive tests but with no plan of action or sense of commitment.

Takes multiple calls just to get to a human being, but 80% of the time I am leaving messages which is difficult as my job doesn't allow for phone usage. I accidentally showed up when I was supposed to have done a video meeting and to the office staff it was as if I ruined their lives. An assistant called to let me know the day before a meeting he scheduled that he would be on vacation. Hard to imagine these people care.

My son just turned 18 and went to the office for his 3rd vaccine of a series. He was to get ONLY one vaccine. When he returned home, he said they gave him 3 vaccines, an exam, and tried to give him the flu shot as well. The nurse told him everything would be covered by insurance. Since then, my son (being only 18) received a very large bill of which they will not discount at all. I would not recommend this Doctor. After calling that day dissatisfied, I then received a call on MY history.

Dr. Cunningham has alway spent extra time with me and all of my family members. He has given us all great care and has given me relief to a hip ailment that the specialist could not figure out. He is thorough and engaged.

Worst experience with a medical professional ever. Took over former doc's position. Initial visit last year. He didn't even look at my chart before coming in. He didn't know I had a history of cancer or what he was following me for. Gave him a second chance. Waited 40 minutes today for a 3 minute exam for my severe cold where he advised me to make a ginger honey tea for my cough instead of prescribing. I am switching doctors immediately. I do not trust this man's competency to practice medicine.

Dr. Cunningham didn't seem to really care about much of what I had to say. He was about as informational as Google, probably a little less. Didn't seemed to have reviewed my chart. Wasn't aware of my weight gain over the last 12 mos. since my last visit. Didn't seem concerned by it when I brought it to his attention. I have an autoimmune disease and he had no idea if my prescription had ever changed. He hadn't thought to look it up. Even though I was there to discuss my results. Bad.
