My pcp for 20 years
Dr Burrell is the best Dr that i have ever had the pleasure to work with. He is always willing to listen. He is very kind and empathic yet can be firm if need be. I would never go to another Dr.. I am not a fan of his new front end staff. They can be very short and unfriendly and ask me to give them info that i really should be sharing with the Dr and not them. Other than that i am completely happy an would never think of ever leaving this practice

I have been a patient of Dr. Andrew Burrell for 16 years. During that time I have always been impressed with his attention to detail and ability to make a correct diagnosis, provide a path forward and do follow-ups. His office staff has totally changed since day 1. Who's hasn't. The original staff was very user friendly and the new staff looks to me like their dug in and getting things done. It's a brave new world out there and personnel have changed dramatically. You use what you can get and move on. I think anyone that is looking for very competent General Practitioner will be very happy with Dr. Burrell.

Horrible office staff laughed at me and hung up on me for asking if I can speak with the Dr for providing insufficient answers. They continued to refill my prescription and failed to tell me I needed a check up one a year. He refused to give me enough medicine until an apportionment time I could make instead gave me an ultimatum of risking my professional career to make an appointment within two wks. I will be moving my entire family out of this practice. Do not see this dr at this location.

Scheduled an appointment and person on the phone said next Wednesday. I take the time off work, reschedule meetings, work it out with my boss, etc. I arrive 30 minutes early as asked only to find they scheduled my appointment for the Wednesday after next. Office staff didn't care, made the excuse that their manager scheduled the appointment. Now I don't care, Looking for a new PCP. Learn how to use a calendar. Looking for a new PCP.

I have been a patient for over 20 years now and I have never had any issue with Dr. Burrell and his staff. They take the time to listen and more importantly ensure they understand what the issues are that I am faced with. The front staff is also very friendly and very helpful and will do their best to work you in if you need to see the Dr. or PA based on my current medical issues.

I have been with Dr Burrell for 12 years now. His office staff, Dr Burrell and his physician assistants have always shown the utmost quality of care with office visits, time spent discussing options/needs, followups and genuine attention to patient health. At 63 years old I've seen a lot of doctors in my life and I'd be very hard pressed to find a better one than Dr Burrell and his staff. I have never waited more than 15 minutes from my appointment time and it's most often been 3-5 minutes. Highly recommend him!

Dr. Burrell is not even minimally interested in the issues I had and did not inquire in to what was going on with the ailment. He just sent me out to get xrays, assuming that was going to tell him what was going on. After I went to another Doctor, due to what I felt was his lack of ability to treat me, I was diagnosed and have further treatment to help out.

Doesn’t follow up after sending you to specialist. Some of the staff is pretty rude. Hard to get records and disappointed that they don’t get back to you with test results and treatment plans. Also they don’t seem to read my file or have any clue about conditions they have previously diagnosed me with. Keep asking me to test for a conditions they have diagnosed me for now three times and have had for over 15 years, but never a treatment plan for. Just don’t feel like they care about me other than I have insurance and how they can generate more profit from my coverage.

I have been a patient of Dr Burrel since 2001 and I have not had any issue with him. I have seen him being obviously burned out every now and then and other times he was happy go lucky. I believe that he is like all of us and that the medical field is unfortunately a lot more stressful than it once was. He only misdiagnosed me once and seeing a specialist allowed me to get the proper diagnostic. He's otherwise been spot on and I never once had any issues renewing my prescriptions.

WOW.Dr. Burrell's staff has never been rude to me or my partner. He isn't as thorough as the physicians I am use to in San Francisco, but Mesa, AZ is not San Francisco. Dr. Burrell has always listen to what I have to say, even reading part of a book I gave him on hypothyroid. I have brought supplements to him and he has given me advice. I will not go to a PA, but my partner has gone to all the PA's he has had and has always been pleased. I have been with Dr. Burrell for about 20 years.

Dr. Burrell has been my family dr for my entire family. His practice has gone downhill throughout the years. His staff is rude he has lost nice front office staff and good PAs as well. He has a $50 no show fee that in my opinion is rediculouse. I get if a patient just doesn’t show up or call at all. But when you have something happen..car breakdown, kid get sick, end up in the er. They are a money hungry office. Patients care does not come first. This office is not recommended.

I've been seeing Dr. Burrell off & on for almost 20 years, as well as my family On my most recent appointment they refused to see me even though they knew I was insured threw Banner because I didn't have my new card(even though they could have called to verify or printed it out on their printer from one of the computers). Long story short charged me$ 50 office fee & when I complained they sent me a letter saying he was no longer my doctor. This is how they treat clients with a 20 yr history.

If I could leave no stars I would. Dr. Burrell is out to make money. He likes to nickle and dime you over everything. If you schedule your Annual physical, you better not have any additional questions about your health or any additional issues he’ll make you schedule another appointment to talk about those things. If you need an additional month before you can come in to see him and need a prescription Refilled he won’t do it for you he’ll make you come in. Not passionate about people.

I've been a patient of Dr. Burrell's for 20+years and he is clearly burning out. He isn't friendly or personable anymore and he should hire another doctor (not a PA) and cut his own hours back so he can enjoy his job again.
