Dr. Andrew Bainnson, MD

I felt like something was stuck in my eye and I was still experiencing a lot of pain so I made an appointment an hour away from where I live with Dr. Bainnson to get in soon. I was a bit nervous going in, and he was so rude, it made my experience so much worse. He first told me if my eye hurt when I rubbed it, to no longer rub it, ever. When I tried to explain what was going on with my eye, he told me it didn't matter because the brain does not register pain in the same place you feel it in the eye. I told the doctor 'the best way I can explain the pain as like a small piece of glass scratching my eye,' the doctor proceeded to tell me if there was glass in my eye, my eye would never open again or not be normal so that can't be the case. I did not think there was glass in my eye, I was just trying to explain what I felt. He was dismissive, rude, and downright mean to someone seeking out help. He made me feel like I was wrong for seeing a doctor when I felt like something was wrong.

The staff were all very very polite. And the Doctor was Great. Everyone was very professional.

Dr. Bainnson is rude and unprofessional. Run the other way! My son visited his office for an eye issue. After waiting an hour to see him, he walked in, didn't acknowledge us and asked my son why he was there. He wanted to put drops in my son's eye and we wanted to make sure it wasn't to dilate his eyes since he had his regular optho exam later this year. Rather than answering the question and explaining, he said abruptly if you don't want me to put drops then you shouldn't have come. He then went on to tell my son how he could go blind if we didn't check for glaucoma and made assumptions without foundation. He told us that my son had a large stye on his eyelid which may need surgical attention. He did not like when I said we had our own eye surgeon, and wanted us to use a plastic surgeon. He also refused to call the script into our regular pharmacy & insisted we use the one down the hall. When we asked why he said I don't want to tell you. He should not be in practice.
