Nice guy, poor care team/staff communication
Dr. Giraldo himself is a nice man and very personable during my appointments with him. However, I've got my frustrations with the staff- first they sent me to have a CT scan at a diagnostic center that is no longer operating. Second, when I requested a medication refill, I was informed of the need to schedule an appointment- for different reasons based on whom I spoke with. Their clinical team took a long time to get a hold of as well.

Nice person, not thorough, doesn't listen, requests tests that aren't necessary based on the visit, gets too involved in persons history, can't see the tree in front of him, etc. I would not recommend him.

Had a thirty second “conversation” over the phone with him while he was driving. Exhibited no interest in listening to my concerns regarding a prescription that was not effective. Told me he had experienced the same ailment and that I just needed to “wait it out”. Before I could explain my previous history with the medication he informed me he was not making any changes and hung up.

First visit and Dr. Giraldo was very quick to get into what I believed were past medical issues and anything that I was concerned about. To some he may seem to talk too much--but his core philosophy seems to be that he wants to do everything he can to be an assistant in making your life better. He listened to what I had to say and, as any good doctor should, continually adjusted his thoughts and plans based on what I told him. Great Doctor!

Just awful. I went in for a biometric scan that was required by my work (fully covered by insuarance). I got a bill for lab tests for 50$. I contacted HR and they said that the doctor billed me for things not required for the biometric screening hence the bill. I contacted billing but unfortunately they couldn’t help me because the office switched to Advocate shortly after my visit so i wasn’t in their system. They told me to call the office and hopefully they would be able to help me. NOPE. Th

i liked this doctor until he switched to Advocate health. Was informed he was moving offices, but not that he was leaving a medical group. I have been unsuccessfully trying to get my diabetes medication for 3 days. With Advocate there is NO way in hell you will ever get to talk to the actual medical office. I can't get them to call me back or call Walgreen to get my prescription. I am headed to the emergency room. The lack of concern/communication is astounding. pick another doctor

My mom had a stress test that he ordered. He never notified her of the results and had his office manager call her to go see another specialist. My mother was confused and asked why the referral. The office manager replied she didn't know but that the specialist would know. Never once did anyone tell her it had anything to do with the stress test. She was turned off by his refusal to communicate with his patient and left the practice. His negligence was costly, and he is a terrible doctor.
