Very Disappointing
I was referred to the office for a different doctor, but could not get into see that doctor earlier so I took an appointment with Dr. Coco. She did not seem to know my history or did not seem concerned about why I was there, did not look at my medical history before hand. Seemed very blasé About my concerns. I don’t feel like I got a full evaluation. She sent me for bloodwork with a list of places to get it for a specialized blood test that my insurance did not cover with UPMC insurance . This list did not include phone numbers either, and I was told I should call before I go. I went to an AHN facility and they turned me away. I called the office and left a very specific voicemail that none of the places on her list would do this specific bloodwork unless I had other test done as well. She responded 3 days later via email instead of calling me. Sent yet another list of places that were not in my network. I was also told that I had to call her for the results. Extremely dissatisfied.

Doesn't work with people well AT ALL
Dr.Coca is horrible when calling in refills, never signing off on prescriptions when needed so then I had to go without my lupus meds for days until she got around to it and shes completely rude and impersonal, she should never have chosen a career working with people because she is incredibly off putting. UPMC wouldnt "ALLOW" me to change doctors at the Lupus Center, so now I've went without treatment and meds for 2 years. I can barely live a normal life all because this doctor is so horrible I dread going in to see her

She seemed in a hurry and didn't listen and was rude. She told me I didn't have anything wrong and dismissed my symptoms. Now 3 years later, I have seen another doctor and I am diagnosed with 2 autoimmune diseases and I am on the right medication.

I had some eye issues and blood work that came back questionable so I was directed to see the doctor. When I called the office to set up an appointment, the receptionist told me that they call me for the appointment, only after the doctor reviewed my chart to see if I was fit to come there. Office called 2 weeks later. The appointment lasted 10 minutes at most. Told me it was in my head, charged me $700 for nothing. Very rude and bed side manner is null.

Had an appointment scheduled at 2:30, but for some reason it was entered as 2:00. I showed up at 2:20 and noticed the incorrect time. I apologized to the receptionist, and she asked the doctor if could still be seen. I was Told they have a 15 minute policy, so I was prepared to leave. The receptionist noticed an opening at 3:00 and asked if I would stay. She asked the doctor and was told they have a no same day add on policy and refused to give me the 3:00 spot. Worst customer service ever.

Dr Coca teamed with my GP and, based on his observations, had medicine wired to my pharmacy before my first visit ! She was very professional and caring . The treatment worked well for me . She was very patient to answer all my questions and had a logical approach to the problem, avoiding unnecessary procedures. Doctors are not magicians, but I feel magically better now. Thank you Dr Coca for your dedication!

Dr Coca is a specialist in Sjogren's disease. If you have this disease, she is THE doctor to see. She meticulously reviews all my tests, does a thorough exam, and is conservative in her treatment of this life altering monster of a disease. I trust her with my life. She is brilliant. After reading the other reviews, it looks like only the unsatisfied patients write reviews, so I was inspired to give you the truth.

She doesn't listen to you. She spent less then 10 minutes with me when I waited months to get in to see her. Once she has made up her mind that is it even if you know it's wrong. Her staff also takes forever to schedule any tests and gives you incorrect results.

It was one of the worst experiences I have had with a physician. She was nasty and rude. I had been in tremendous pain and had a rare blood disorder I was being treated for by another physician, and almost died from. I had started to cry out of the pain and everything I had gone through. She YELLED at me to stop crying! My second visit, I waited in the room for 1 1/2 hrs! Yes, 1 and 1/2 hrs. when she finally showed up, she saunters in with no apologies. I never went back after that.

This doctor was not a good listener. Her atitude was dismissive. She did not display any compassion or interest in me as a person or my medical situation. She was not able to make recommendations about next steps. She lost interest as soon as she decided I did not have the disease I asked to see her about. I left the visit feeling discouraged and at a loss.

She was friendly and listened to any & all of my concerns and symptoms. She did a thorough exam to check pain & swelling in my joints and pain in my tender points. We reviewed my bloodwork together as she turned the monitor so I could see it & she explained what each test was, why she ordered it, what the results were and compared them to what they should be. We then came up with a plan for me going forward.
