Dr. Andrea McMurphy, MD

Dr, McMurphy is very caring. I chose her because my husband was in a lot of pain and I wanted to have someone very kind, knowledgeable and attentive. They had to fit us in as the first second patient of the day. She was wonderful and when our problem end up NOT being an ENT issue, she even called another doctor for us while we waited!. Had an appt with her today. I went online and did all the pre-registration paperwork. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment, they told me I had canceled it and was not on the schedule for today, but they could work me in, but she had a full schedule. This is the second time I have had issues with this doctor at Premier Medical, none of the others. Don't know what the issue is, but I will not be back. Poor management I guess.

Efficient, easy to speak with, can ask questions without feeling rushed.

Dr. McMurphy has treated both my children and myself. My children love going to see her and she is GREAT with them. She has done surgery for their tubes, adenoids and tonsils- both had great recovery and no complications from the surgery. I have never felt rushed while there nor left there confused on what was going on with me or my children medically. She and her staff are very professional. They have taken my calls with concerns re: my children and fit us in when needed. I like that we can see her at either the Dauphin St location or at the Providence location. I highly recommend Dr. McMurphy.

I was very disappointed with the service that I received from this doctor. She was very rushed, and wouldn't take the time to explain to me my diagnosis or reason for testing. I had to ask her twice, as she was going out the door. The staff was very nice, and I did have an easy time getting an appointment. I won't be back though.

Very pleasant, very professional, and prompt if I may add. Dr.McMurphy is a very thorough and caring doctor. She made sure I had my questions ask during my visit.

This doctor nor her staff washed their hands coming into my cubicle nor going out- until my husband brought that to their attention. She was about to put a tube in my ear, already sitting in the chair ready to get started when my husband asked her about it. Then they all started scrambling to wash their hands and put on gloves. There were quite a few children there at the same time as my appointment. Kids carry germs and viruses. Flu is everywhere now. Yet she wasn't washing her hands or putting gloves on. There is something seriously wrong when a medical 'professional' isn't doing these simple things. I won't be going back there.

I recommend seeing her at the Providence location. There is less wait time and she spends more time answering questions. However at the office on Dauphin st. I would have given her maybe a 2. She helped my son's ears with an infection but she had me in and out in less than 5 minutes and did not give me time to answer questions. The wait time at this clinic is absolutely ridiculous. I also dislike when you've waited for ever and the dr and staff are talking about their plans for after work and socializing while you continue to wait. So again if you see her go to the Providence location.

I will never, ever be back to see Dr. McMurphy. I saw her for chest congestion, sore throat and coughing. She came in the room, didn’t introduce herself, started looking at my ears, nose and throat. Not once listened to my chest after complaining that I felt a lot of congestion there. She prescribed oral antibiotics and oral steroids and walked me out. I didn’t even have time to ask questions. She never told me what her diagnose was. I was so unhappy with her assessment seeing how she didn’t truly examine me fully, I went to see another doctor. I didn’t trust her because she wouldn’t even listen to what I was saying. After a chest X-ray, breathing treatment and couple antibiotic and steroid shots later, I have pneumonia!! I am furious. This is what happens when doctors don’t take time to listen to their patients.

Dr McMurphy was in a big hurry. Today was the first time I met her and she came in quickly, no introduction, no eye contact, no greeting. The whole visit was hurried and before I knew it I was holding my chart and being led out the door. I had to ask her to turn around and go back in the room so I could ask her some questions. She’s not the right fit for me and I will not use her services again. But the office staff and audiologist (Lowe) who gave the hearing test were all great.

Worst experience visiting a Doctor. Waited 3 hours for a 3 minute visit. She was extremely un-professional coming from someone who is in the medical field. Very upset from how my visit went with her.

Dr. McMurphy was great. She listened to everything I had to say and then came up with a plan of care for me. She let me know the pros and cons of the decision I was making and also made sure that she was available to help me. Plus she was very nice and kind.

would recommend Dr. McMurphy to anyone needing an Ear, Nose, Throat specialist. She is very caring and explains any procedures needed.

My first visit to Dr. McMurphy was just great. Only waited about 5 minutes before having a hearing test, then seeing Dr. McMurphy in a couple of minutes. She was patient, thorough and gentle. Will continue to see her as needed, and recommend her highly.

Very short wait to see Dr. McMurphy. She explained things well. I was in and out quickly with definitive answers. Follow-up plan explained.

Dr McMurphy is a very good Dr. She did Endoscopic surgery on me and I had no pain and no problems.

I would recommend Dr. McMurphy to my family members and friends for ENT related issues. She is friendly, discusses the medical issue clearly, and so far has provided me with a plan/path for resolution of my issue.

She has seen my son and myself and she is great. She is knowledgeable and gets right to the problem.
