Dr. Andrea May, DO

While I was waiting to see a different physician in the same building, I saw Dr. May interacting with a family member in the waiting room. She was very kind and had great communication skills. At that time, I had a horrendous PCP and quickly transferred to Dr. May. I was not let down. She is incredibly smart and took the time to understand my symptoms, going through her differential diagnoses and why I should not be concerned about other diagnoses. She guided me on what labs and imaging do next and what to hold off on. She listened to me and never made me feel that I was crazy, even though I was very anxious about my symptoms. Dr. May's medical expertise, communication and listening skills, and bedside manner gave me a lot of comfort and it felt so wonderful to have her support me through those months of not feeling well. I highly recommend Dr. May!

Dr. May is without a doubt the best PCP I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She is kind, smart and extremely thorough but also not an alarmist. She has helped my wife and I both navigate a number of difficult health issues through our complicated healthcare system. She has great bedside manner, is approachable and always willing to help. If you have the chance to have her as your provider, take it! She is the best there is.

Of my many visits with different physicians and specialists, Dr. May stands out for her human qualities - her great listening skills, empathy, honesty, and caring. I genuinely felt that she viewed me as someone she could collaborate with to improve my health and treat symptoms. I didn't feel like I was being "spoken down to" as I have so often in the past with doctors. Dr. May seems to be on the young side for a doctor and has an amazing career ahead of her. Patients who end up with Dr. May as a provider should consider themselves lucky.
