Untrustworthy
Made promises I wouldn’t be billed for blood tests when I said I’d rather go to labcorp where my insurance covers 100%. Then later I get notified over $500 of the tests weren’t covered. Office staff were angry I even complained. If you’re low income, do not go here, she doesn’t respect financial concerns.

Single Worst Doctor I've Ever Seen
Please, please avoid this doctor. She is horrible, and the woman that works at the front desk is genuinely one of the most terrible people I've ever met in my life. Truly could not believe the level of anger she displayed for absolutely no reason. Terrible, terrible people, all around. You need to avoid them

She doesn't use the most sensitive tests available or tell people that other doctors use different tests. I saw her 2 years ago after I crashed with severe fatigue and vision and neurological problems. I got a call from her receptionist saying I was negative for everything. Another ILADS doctor found Lyme, Babesia, Bartonella, and Erlichia with urine PCR testing, and with treatment I am improving, but seeing Dr. Gaito delayed treatment by over year-- a year I was mostly bedridden.

Dr. Gaito was very helpful in accurately diagnosing and resolving an ongoing Lyme infection that had persisted over several years despite multiple courses of previous antibiotic treatment. I am now, for the first time in a long time, starting to see my symptoms gradually improve. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is currently suffering from Lyme Disease, as well as those who suspect they may be.

Dr Gaito diagnosed my Lyme disease in 1989 and recently in 2016. In both cases her thorough knowlege and comprehensive testing led her to the treatment necessary to erradicate the disease. Her hands on compassionate care were comforting as the months of treatment progressed. I am so grateful for her and her dedication to Lyme disease patients. Joan Shaffer

Waited over 2 weeks for my appointment in joint pain hell. Took off work and drove the hour and a half down to her office to be told they never scheduled me in. Unacceptable.
