NO STARS for this one!
Andrea took me off one of my regular medications. She did no follow up to see how the changes were affecting me until I I was seen in the ER no less than 3 times in one weekend with life-threatening symptoms that required immediate intervention. This was a direct result of the medication changes, and she acted like it was no big deal. She made a diagnosis and prescribed medication without doing any tests at all. The medication she gave me was ineffective for the condition that I had, and when I discontinued using it, I found that I had to wean myself off of it because it was one of those drugs in a class that is considered highly addictive. Again, her response was kind of “Oh well. You’re here now.” If you buy a car that turns out to be a lemon, there are laws to protect you. If you choose the wrong physician, God help you. It could end up costing you your life.

I had been seeing Bounds for quiet a few years and when I found out I was pregnant I was over the moon. She got me through all my pregnancy appointments, ultrasounds, caught a couple issues early and told me what I needed to do for my baby. However, when it came to my health, I had told her numerous times I couldn’t breathe for a good couple weeks (I know it’s understandable for the baby to be laying a certain way sometimes, but this was a complete different issue.) All she told me was the baby may be sitting in a weird position or to take a Zantac for the “heartburn.” Well I finally trusted my gut and I was right and went to the actual hospital, thankfully I did or me and my baby would of died! (High protein In my urine, preeclampsia, Congestive Heart Failure, ext (all from waiting so long to actually be heard and taken seriously). We had to be transferred to another hospital hours away to save both our lives. After that I switched doctors.

I have been with Dr.bounds for 4 years now after leaving California and I have kept explaining something is wrong with my health. I have always got a pat on the back and pushed off as if I suffer from being a hypochondriac. Though, I’ve had slight positive results that she dismisses and says time will tell because she relies on one test to give her answers and doesn’t dig deeper. I’ve lost hope in her as a medical professional. I feel she acts as if she is listening to your concerns but does not take them seriously or retain any information you have presented to her. My wait times there are always about an hour long. My sons circumcision was poorly done. She popped my spinal fluid during an epidural and sent me home disregarding a nurse stating I would need a spinal tap. Now, the question may arise of- why am I still under her care? She told me every year that we will wait and figure out what’s going on and she is respectful of you during an office visit but my $ is going no where now

Dr Bounds cares about her patients and their families. I have been visiting her for almost a year and absolutely love the way she talks and actually listens to what I say, then discusses the options that are available. I never feel rushed or hurried. I could not ask for a better professional than Dr Bounds

Dr. Bounds is compassionate & listens to her patients. She is thorough & professional without being off putting. Unfortunately, her nursing staff is cold, impatient, discourteous, & act as if you as a patient are less than smart, less than human. They are not at all helpful or kind. Dr. Bounds is such a good doctor I hope that the deficiencies in her staff can be overcome. If I have to switch doctors, it will be because of the nursing staff & the way I have been treated over time.
