Dr. Andrea Anthony, MD

My dad was fighting for his life and my niece was in there with him. She hadn't been there in days and told my dad without him asking you're not gonna make it bud in those exact words. My niece ran out of the room crying to her parents and when they questioned her she was so argent and totally disrespectful to my family. She has no bed side manners and is absolutely the most disrespectful heartless doctor my dad ever had. We have filed more with the medical board and North Kansas City Hospital. I truly hope that no family ever has to deal with the disrespect and lack of compassion for her patients and the families. We aren't the first family and I'm sure not the last. Please do NOT go to her!!!!

Dr. Anthony is probably the best doctor I’ve ever dealt with. Kind, informative and really listen to you.

I have COPD and really have bonded with Dr. Anthony. I have been going to her for several years now and have no desire to change, so please don't leave or retire! I always leave feeling she has taken care of me and my issues. She answers my questions to the best of her ability. Some may say she's abrasive; I say she's thorough and doesn't pull punches.

Great physician and very personable! She takes the time to listen and to get to know you and explains things well.

Dr Anthony is fantastic. However, i called to get an appt and no answer so I left a message. I got a return call but I could bot answer the phone where I was when the call came in and so I called back again and again got no answer. I gave up. If you can schedule an appt Dr Anthony is a great doctor to see.

Outstanding physician that has patient care at the forefront and provides critical, straight forward information. She has exceptional staff that is very supportive in making sure all details are fulfilled.

We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Anthony. She diagnosed me with cancer and told us to take a few minutes to get ourselves together. She then introduced us to her practice manager, Kellie. She is an ANGEL. They have helped us every step of the way. LOVE these people!!

Friendly, approachable, compassionate. Easy to speak with.

Dr. Anthony has a good bedside manner and an extensive knowledge of pulmonary diseases including sleep apnea. My sleep apnea is now better because of a repeat sleep study and the addition of oxygen with my BiPAP. She took the time to listen to me.

Dr. Anthony has been wonderful! She cares about me as a patient and worked to make sure that I was taken care of and feeling better!!!

Dr. Anthony was not only incredibly rude to my father for being late (NKC later admitted they told him the wrong time), she botched the biopsy and EBUS report and didn't get everything needed so now KU is saying we have to go through the whole thing again. It's one thing to have horrendous bedside manner but completely unacceptable that he has to endure the biopsy twice because of her negligence. AVOID NKC LIKE THE PLAGUE.

its taken me ten years to finally talk my son into doing this. The moment she walked into the room all his fears totally gone. She was amazing very complete and honest and took time.. best doc ever!!!!!

This was my first visit to Dr. Anthony and I was very impressed. I found her easy to talk to and engaged with interest in finding the best plan of action for my care. She's very straight forward and has a good sense of humor. I highly recommend her to others. Friendly staff too.

She is a very professional Dr., but also very easy and pleasant to talk to! Feel comfortable with her!!

Caring and knowledgeable, Dr. Anthony was an advocate for me when others were delaying in making a decision on my treatment. She worked hard to make sure my treatment plan insured success and has continued to provide excellent service to me. I would gladly recommend her to anyone needing a pulmonary doctor.

Dr Anthony may be good at what she does, however, professionalism and bedside manner are not her forte'. I have seen her several times and each time she has been condescending and quite arrogant. She even took a call while seeing me the last time using profanity language in the process. I don't ask for a lot, however I found my last visit to be less than respectful all the way around.
