He is immediately likeable, and more so as we see him.He listens, and thoroughly explains everything we ask him and more.He includes us in his thinking and how and why his recommendations are formed,and we both have full confidence in him, even after only two visits.

Dr. Shaffer is professional and personable. He listened to me, explained everything and answered my questions. He was through with post-surgery instructions. Everything you would want in a surgeon!

Learned that I had more going on I need to address besides the back issue. Dr Shafer was very personable and informative.

Doctor was very caring in treating me with injections to numb nerves in my back that been hurting for 15 years or more. He hung in there and it worked. This was just temporary but was able to identify the nerves ends causing the pain. Well done very talented back pain specialist.

Dr Shaffer seemed like he didn’t know why I was there to see him. After I explained what my issues were, he was more concerned about my size of shoulders in relationship to having surgery. He ultimately decided he needed to send me back for another MRI. I left the appointment wondering why I had driven 6 hours (each way) for zero answers regarding my concerns. I understand to a point his dilemma, but I need answers for Tribal First Workman’s Comp. They are refusing to pay me because they think I wasn’t injured in the fall I took, claiming it’s pre-existing. However, I didn’t have these symptoms before I fell!

Dr. Shaffer was friendly and helpful explaining the upcoming surgery for my fractured leg.
