Dr. Thyagarajan treated my kid's peanut allergy. He spent a lot of time explaining the Oral Immunotherapy (OIT) process and answered all of our questions. He was honest, confident, and thoroughly explained everything. He's had so much experience with different patients, he was able to explain everything. We are almost completely finished with the process, and we could not be happier. It has completely changed the stress level in our family, especially for our kid. Previously, a birthday party was stressful when the other kids were eating, and our kid was scared to eat anything that may have touched a peanut. Now that fear is gone, its totally different to just avoid actual peanut products. We use to worry that another kid would eat peanut butter, then touch our kid, but now she eats 3 peanuts a day and we know something so minor wouldn't be a problem. We could not be happier with this process and its been a huge stress taken away from our family. We cannot recommend enough!!!!

My husband and I saw Dr. T today for our seven-month-old daughter, and he was excellent! We were referred by our pediatrician for suspected FPIES, and Dr. T was very thorough with going through our daughter’s medical history before agreeing that was a likely diagnosis. FPIES is difficult to diagnose because there is no test, and the research is lacking. Dr. T was very honest about this but still provided as much information as he could. He provided detailed notes at the end of the visit with his recommendations. We felt listened to and supported, and we plan to return for a follow-up in six months. For the best visit, I suggest arriving early and completing the new patient paperwork before the day of the appointment (as they recommend). This allowed us maximum time with Dr. T.

Not very good at listening- felt like I was always competing with him to get to my point before he interrupted and explained to me what he thought I was trying to say. For example, "why are you here?" To learn more about allergy shots. "You want to know what more you can do to manage your son's allergies." Very frustrating experience. Was looking for information on allergy shots and was told by the front office that I had to have a consultation. At the end of the appointment, I walked away with pamphlets of info and feeling really belittled. Next time, it would be helpful to have the info to review ahead of time- like common questions on the website, and then consult if the treatment seemed like something I wanted to pursue or know more about. He is obviously very knowledgeable and motivated, but he couldn't hear the overall question because he was so focused on correcting minute details that didn't change the substance of the conversation.

I absolutely loved his energy! He was the first doctor to tell me that my hives is not an allergy but an autoimmune thing. He really was transparent and very easy to talk to my sinus issues and hives caused by the cold. I genuinely think he cares about his patients and I would absolutely recommend him! Starting allergy shots soon and he was the first doctor who didn't push it from the second I walked in. He explained why I should get it and explained how much it would cost and since I've been suffering for 8yrs now, I completely agree with his recommendations.

I have been sick for unknown reasons and seeing an allergist was kind of a last resort to solve the mystery. Dr. Thyagarajan was not only the kindest and best listening doctor I have ever seen, he was also the most humble, straightforward, and honest about whether or not allergy-tested would provide the answers. I am a 45-year-old who has never before had allergy testing, I didn't know what to expect and was nervous. In the end, there was no need for my nervousness. The nurse who administrated all the shots chatted the entire time and took my mind off everything. I cannot say enough good words. If you are looking for an allergist, I highly recommend Dr. Thyagarajan, even if you have to wait or drive a distance. I would be comfortable bringing all of my children there.

I recently switched over from a different practice to see Dr. T. and they were flexible enough to continue immunotherapy shots utilizing the previous practice's formula. Dr. T is a subject matter expert in his field. I was impressed by his knowledge, professionalism, and enthusiasm. I referred my wife to get tested for allergies as well and she is undergoing an accelerated 9 week program that equaled 2 years of my previous practice's timeline and methodology. Cuts down on visits, and co-pay expenses. Very forward thinking practice!  We are both seeing great results from the treatment and highly recommend Dr. T's practice to all our friends and family.

Can not speak more highly of the Allergy Partners of Springfield practice. Dr. Thyagarajan is excellent. He is wonderful with patients of all ages, and helped determine that my eight year old son no longer has any food allergies - a feat other doctors in the area couldn't. His approach to allergies is methodical, but he's not afraid to do appropriate testing to gain a thorough understanding of the situation. For anything allergy-related, look no further than Dr. Thyagarajan's practice! Did I mention their staff is extremely friendly and makes you feel comfortable while in the office? It's no wonder this practice is award winning!

Highly recommend Dr. Ananth Thyagarajan because of his extensive knowledge and really an exceptional care he gave to my two year old daughter. It is not often these days that you see a doctor who takes his time to listen to your story and give your child as much attention as he would give to his own kids. My daughter had a nasal congestion, hearing issues and sensitivities to certain foods. Dr. Thyagarajan addressed all concerns and gave suggestions that greatly improved her health.

I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Ananth Thyagarjan and his staff's professionalism and kindness. My favorite thing about Dr. T is that he does not use fear-based techniques to have unnecessary tests run. He approached my allergy concerns with an educated and scientific mindset. He is understanding, comforting, and extremely knowledgable. (I've copied and pasted my reviews to Yelp and other review websites to help others in their search for a fantastic allergist.)

I was disappointed with my experience with Dr. T. While he did seem very knowledgeable he was not very sensitive to my son who was very upset about the painful allergy testing. The nursing staff was amazing and were very sensitive. But, we were unable to complete the testing because my 4 year old has an extreme fear of needles. Dr. T told me I need to "just be a mom" and should hold him down and make him do the testing. I was disappointed with the extreme lack of sensitivity.

I visited Dr. Thyagarajan to determine if my skin rash (keratosis pilaris) could be related to a food or other type of allergy. He stated that he could perform many tests on this but he did not recommend this as the test results would be able to determine the precise cause of my rash. He was very candid and honest and could have recommended many tests just to make money but he did not. He explained everything in layman terms and I believe he is very smart and highly trustworthy.

He listens to what the patients problem is before he asks any questions. He also takes notes as well as gave me step by step directions on how to treat my daughters dermatitis, without starting out on medication like other doctor's. Loved all the staff their!!!

I had heard really good reviews about Dr. Thyagarajan and s o I scheduled an appointment. When I came in for my first appointment somehow it was not in the system. The way you and your team handled the situation and still did my diagnosis for allergies, made me realize that I was where I needed to be. I am so thankful for all of your help and I can say you and your team are a benchmark for a health care professional. Wishing you all a lot of happiness, success & health.

Dr. T and his staff have provided wonderful service from the moment I made my first phone call. I have only been a patient for a few weeks but feel that this is the start of a great experience. Dr. T took all the time I needed to help educate me and make sure I was comfortable with our plan of attack to help combat the allergies. After my initial appointment, I received a call from the office letting me know that they were ready to begin my allergy shots and even set up text reminders!
