Dr. Amy Krambeck, MD

Disorganized. Poor communication. Arrogant. Does not accept responsibility for her complications. Relies on her residents and assistants who don't seem to know what she wants or is thinking. Can't think of anything good about my care under her in the hospital. She seemed good in the preop telehealth visit but afterwards was poor.

I am a 69 year old, from near Peoria, Illinois, extremely healthy & fit man who has had BPH for a number of years. Unfortunately the Urology Medical Care in the Peoria area is currently quite limited with Qualified, Experienced, Board Certified Urologists, who what I would consider to be “GOOD UROLOGISTS”! I had Laser PVP Prostate Procedure finally performed in Fall of 2021, after having to wait four months for surgery with a semi-retired, highly qualified urologist. I had self-cath myself for four months for residual urine. A couple months later had constricture in bladder neck - full time catheter for 3 weeks before surgery. In late 2023 had to wait 6 weeks to get a cysto exam. Told needed TURP or HoLEP! Only one urologist in Peoria does HoLEP, but NOT Board Certified and limited cases per year - NO WAY SURGERY ON ME!! TURP: 50yr old Barbaric Surgery! MS Degree in Medical Field — found World HoLEP Expert in Chicago, Dr Krambeck! My HoLEP went great! She is loving & caring physician!

I have been suffering couple of years due to enlarged prostate-frequent urination ,night trips to restroom,long waiting to start urination.It was painfull and embarrassing(urinating to coffee cap in my car or looking for a tree or bush ,wall ect).I had 2 Pae-Prostate embolization artery before and didn't helped much.My urologist mentioned turp and erolift but not HoLEP.I found Doctor Krambeck online 'googled' and called her office.I flew to Chicago from NJ and from the beginning -sweeet lady at admission to all the nurses Kate and Bree-recovery room Dr.Krambeck assistant Dr.Alison and all Dr.Krambeck medical personel and The best Doctor ever Amy Krambeck so kind, so nice ,so patience-answered all my questions,so giftedYes surgery solved my problem :) .Today i7 week after the surgery.I pee like teenager with such pressure so I have to seat on the toilet otherwise I splash urine.When I'm in the public restroom I'm proud to urinate with such a force.THANK YOU Dr.Krambeck !!!!

Dr. Krambeck saved my husband’s life. He had an appointment with her in April of 2022 after 10 months of continuous bladder and prostate infections. She scheduled him for a HoLept procedure at Northwestern Medicine on May 9. He felt better within hours after the procedure. A year later, with no infections, he has his life again. Dr. Krambeck is a wonderful, kind, skilled urologist. So glad we found her.

71Yr old, BPH since 1990s with bleeding infections and prostate of 231grams n PSA of 8.2 and a catheter; 7/2021 had HoLEP Moses 2.0 performed by Dr. Krambeck at Northwestern Medical; Removed 177grams n bladder stones; Went in at 10:30am and walked out hospital at 4pm - same day - with no catheter and walked to dinner 3 blocks at 7pm. Recovery was amazing. Now, 11/2021, No more meds, no catheter, no more bleeding infections. Ultrasound after voiding shows "0" volume retention in Bladder. I am fixed!!! Once and done procedure. Dr. Amy and her Team at Northwestern are the best!

I had HOLEP surgery in August, 2019. Amy Krambeck left me permanently incontinent. DO NOT let her operate on you!

Terrible! We did not even meet her until my husband was prepped for surgery. We drove 3 hours from home for a consultation and she sent an associate to meet with us. At no time were we told that she had an emergency. The associate tried to "grab her" but was unable to do so.

Dr. Krambeck is a life saver. She performed lazer lithotripsy on my wife who had stones which caused repeat uti’s which was successful. I would definitely give her the highest marks for her capabilities. We are very fortunate to have her practicing in Indianapolis

HOLEP procedure was perfect. I sought her skills and the surgical team was top tier in nation. Plus her followup response to my doctors in Little Rock has provided me extra care attention I would not have received if not for her request to local doctors. Very skilled physician.

She is simply the best. Wonderful bedside manner and she is a rockstar at removing kidney stones. Her staff really listened to me and it is no wonder she is one of the top kidney stone doctors in the nation. So thankful to have her in Indy!

Absolutely wonderful. Not only is she a gifted surgeon able to perform the complex HoLep prostate surgery but she is a wonderful person. I had the surgery a noon on a Wednesday and was out of the hospital and on the way home by 9:30 the next morning. Recovery was uneventful and the results were wonderful. I would recommend her unequivocally.

Dr. Krambeck is the worst urologist I have ever seen! She wasn't caring at all and absolutely had no interest in my pain or what was causing it. She did no bloodwork to check my kidney function. She lied to my Rheumatologist doctor And said I refused to go to pain management. I did not refuse, I had already seen a pain management doctor. I have Lupus which attacks your organs. This is a huge concern for me but obviously it wasn't for her! She just chalked it up to back pain, again not 1 test!

I couldn't imagine a better urologist to treat your loved ones in a time of need. I recommend Dr. Krambeck without reservation.

Specifically sought her out for the HoLEP. Entire experience from first office appointment through 90 day post-op appointment has been nothing but wonderful! Knew exactly what I was in for during the entire process. Highly recommend the HoLEP, if it's a viable option for you. But seeking out Dr Krambeck, due to her experience, was most crucial to my decision. Mayo Clinic and it's hospitals really do offer superior experience and care!
