Dr. Amr Fergany, MD

I was referred to Dr. Fergany by my General Practitioner last year. Although the office staff was very pleasant, Dr. Fergany seemed disinterested, barely looked me in the eye while discussing my concerns and seemed dismissive of them. Additionally, I received conflicting diagnosis' from him based on some recent labs from my GP. I will be seeking a second opinion in reference to Dr. Ferganys recommendations and interpretations of my labs.

Dr. Fergany explains everything well and with empathy. He has a wonderful manner and I was immediately confident when I spoke to him.I never even considered anyone else.He has the respect of all of the support staff that works with him and they couldn’t say enough good about him.Dr. Fergany took the “scary” right out of my procedure.He was wonderful.

Excellent Doctor

Waited over a month for an appt after receiving a referral to see a urologist. During my visit I was told that I did not have a UTI, there are many other things that could cause my symptoms, he complained about primary care/urgent care drs and what patients think they know about UTIs is wrong, and that basically there was nothing he could do for me. I was prescribed an Rx and when asked about side effects the dr told me there weren’t any. Upon researching the Rx it had nothing to do with my symptoms. I was prescribed the Rx simply because I am post menopausal and it does not show any references to my condition but does have a list of SERIOUS side effects. He showed absolutely no interest in helping me to learn the cause of my symptoms and pain, no advice on where to go from here and felt he could not have cared less. Needless to say I am still in pain, have no idea what is causing the pain and am on my own trying to find answers.

Do not trust Dr Amr Fergany. The doctor removed my bladder and replaced it with an (internal) Indiana pouch. To empty it I must use a catheter. Once discharged from the hospital (the Cleveland Clinic) I was given catheters to use until a package of them (ordered by the hospital) arrived. I traveled to my home across country and then discovered that I had been given the wrong catheters. I had to reuse the few given to me that fit until I received a package of the correct ones. I ended up developing urinary tract infection and was hospitalized with the diagnosis of Sepsis. While in the hospital for 15 days I developed additional infections. I left word with Dr Fergany's assistant day after day, week after week over a period of 4+ months and have still not received a call back from Dr Fergany. The lack of care post op is both shocking as well as inexcusable and Dr Fergany should lose his license to practice medicine for his disgraceful conduct.

Dr. Amr Fergany is the best Urologist in the Northeast Ohio area. He is very competent and kind.

Dr. Fergany removed a large AML from my left kidney. I was told by another highly rated Dr from another hospital that if they performed the surgery it would have to be a total nephrectomy. I didn't like this option. He was confident that he could successfully perform the surgery and save my kidney and adrenal gland but also explained that complications during surgery could dictate otherwise. Surgery was successful. Surgical notes were also helpful.
