Dr. Amitabh Suman, MD

My daughter was diagnosed with adenomas on her liver. After MRI's came back he just wanted to follow up in 6 months. When I tried to ask questions he became very impatient and said he didn't know what we were so worked up about. You know, when you've seen local specialists who want to send you to a super specialist you have a right to be concerned about what to expect.

He spent less than 15 minutes with me, told me I was in big time trouble, and that I had non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver without out ever examining me, Ordered a liver biopsy and US Elastography. Final analysis = fatty liver level 1, min scaring. We had to make another office visit to get the results, which was okay except, he appeared after a PA gave us the results of the testing, handed me the check out slip and told me where to check out. This Dr. scared the hell out of us with his providing an opinion without the testing. This Dr sucks. How can Shands Hospital, with its reputation have this Dr on its staff? Do not go see this Dr, especially if you are really sick!

Terrible doctor. Spends less than 5 minutes with patients. Also got all of the patient’s details wrong. The transplant coordinator corrected him with every instruction he gave. Please do not go to this doctor
