Dr. Ambareen Jan, MD

She took time to listen to me and what my needs were, saw my tears and worries of not being validated for my YEARS of pain with endo and was able to get me in for testing and surgery. She even made sure to communicate with my boyfriend who was very involved in my post op care. He had a billion questions (also a doctor) and she took all of them in answered them all and any concerns were addressed and the day of we were smooth sailing in the OR. This surgery has made many of the many issues I was having from endometriosis stop. I am enjoying my life again. If I need any other GYN surgery, I will be going to her and I will gladly send any of my patients to her or friends to her who are in need. ALSO she has a great sense of humor and I hope for all she has given back to me, I was able to give her the gift of a few good laughs in appointments- taking the pressure and nerves off that can come with surgery. Forever grateful to Dr. Jan!

Dr. Jan goes above and beyond to care for her patients. She is so down to earth and really listens to you. I felt that all of my concerns were mindfully addressed. I can’t thank her enough for her care! My surgery and recovery went very well. She has a warm bedside manner and deep understanding of the needs of women, especially those suffering with endometriosis or fibroids. I would recommend her to all of my family and friends!

Dr. Jan is a genuine and thoughtful OBGYN. She is knowledgeable and detailed. In this day and age, it is nearly impossible to find a physician that takes the time to thoroughly examine and treat you -- she goes above and beyond. She was able to diagnose my Endo when my previous provider was unable to. So thankful to have her as my doctor!

I saw doctor Jan a few years ago and was begging for help with Endo. She performed surgery and “found no Endo” but when I found an Endo specialist, I was loaded with Endo that she missed. I have tons of medical trauma from seeing dr Jan.

Dr. Jan has been the most helpful gyno so far. She actually took action regarding the abnormalities I was experiencing. After my first appointment, she scheduled several tests and gave set up a follow up where we discussed actual solutions to the issues. I will miss her immensely!

Dr. Jan is the best OBGYN I have ever been to, she is very knowledgeable in her field and has a wonderful bedside manner. She always takes her time with you and makes sure that you understand what is going on. I would definitely recommend her.

I was referred to Dr Ambareen Jan for fibroid issues and she is the best doctor/surgeon that ever happened to me. I went in for my initial consult feeling nervous and came out of her office at ease about my decision for surgery. Dr Jan took her time to extensively explain what fibroids are and the multiple surgery options to perfection bearing in mind my wishes to save my uterus. She is exceptionally professional, knows her stuff to the T and very friendly. Unlike my prior experience with other doctors, Dr Jan is attentive, caring and compassionate in her work. She addressed all my questions and concerns before my surgery and assured me that she will take good care of me and that everything will be fine which helped calm my nerves alot. Her bedside manners are outstanding. She and her team were always checking on me and how well I was recovering post surgery. Best part is, the quality of my life has improved tremendously since my surgery. I definitely recommend Dr Jan. She Rocks!

After many years suffering from fibroids, I was referred to Dr. Jan because she specializes in non-evasive surgical procedures and I was recommended to have a hysterectomy. Dr. Jan is confident, calm, and reassuring especially with a patient like myself who was very hesitant to do this. When the day came, she handled me with care and my surgery was a success. My recovery was even better than I expected! I had little to no pain and from day 1 I knew that I did the right thing. I have not felt better in years. Today was my follow up appointment and I told Dr Jan that not only does she help her patients medically she also contributes to their quality of life. I did not realize the severity of the pain and condition of my body until I had the surgery! Now I feel like a new person. Dr. Jan’s expertises has given me my body back! She’s the best!

After suffering with endometriosis for close to 20 years I was referred to Dr Jan for a surgical evaluation. Initially I was very impressed with her bedside manner. Dr Jan has a way with making everyone feel comfortable in her presence. She explained in great detail her approach and how the surgery would go. The day of my surgery, she met with myself and my family to go over everything again. I was confident going into that OR that I was in the best hands. My surgery was a success and I am so grateful to Dr Jan. My daily pain and suffering has gone away. Women that suffer from endometriosis can be made to feel crazy or that their pain is all in their head. Dr Jan was empathetic and really listed to me. That kind of care and concern is priceless.

I really couldn't say enough great things about Dr. Jan. She was amazing from day one and It is very clear that Dr. Jan truly loves what she does. She was thorough, personable and her number one priority was giving me the best care possible. I was referred to Dr Jan by my Ob-Gyn. After years of repeated surgeries for uterine polyps, it was decided I should have a hysterectomy. If I didn't love my long time Ob-Gyn, I would happily stay in the care of Dr. Jan. She was wonderful: calm, caring, thorough. A few months ago, I went to see Dr. Jan to get the Nexplanon implant. I always get nervous around needles, but Dr. Jan made me feel comfortable and calm. We chatted about traveling, among other topics, as she talked me through the entire procedure. It was over before I knew it. She has a wonderful demeanor and compassionate presence. During my first appointment with Dr. Jan, she compassionately listened to all my symptoms. We had a plan of care by the end of the visit. Dr. Jan is an excellent doctor/surgeon and a wonderful person. She gives her undivided attention, provides clear explanations and answers all questions and/or concerns with compassion. My previous Gyn left the practice and I could not be more pleased in having Dr. Jan be my new doctor. She performed my laparoscopic hysterectomy in 11/2018 and did phenomenal work. I am amazed at the tiny incisions and very minimal discomfort and downtime. She is wonderful and the person you want as your OB/Gyn!
