I met Dr. Shah the week I was diagnosed with stage 3B rectal cancer. As a 37 yo with three young children, I needed to be certain that I received the absolute best care possible. Multiple doctors in the area emphatically recommended Dr. Shah as my surgeon. From our very first visit, I was treated with the utmost respect, care, and empathy. Dr. Shah took his time to ensure that I understood and was comfortable with the plan. Throughout the entire journey, he made sure I was the ultimate decision maker while providing valuable, science-based recommendations. Not only was he an integral part of my care team, but he also cared about how I was doing emotionally and mentally. Prior to the surgery, multiple staff at the hospital commented on how respected he was. The surgery went phenomenally well. I was blown away with how great I felt and I have had zero adverse side effects. Truly, Dr. Shah is one of the best physicians I have ever met. I highly recommend Dr. Shah and his staff to anyone!

Dr. Shah set out with a clear goal and plan for me and achieved it. His bedside manner made me comfortable, but he was all business when he needed to be. He asked for and listened to my concerns. The surgery he performed was a complete success, and avoided some possible pitfalls that he had outlined for me ahead of time. He provided me with the best outcome, the one we all hoped for.

Within the last year, I was diagnosed with a chronic condition, which ultimately required surgery. To say it has been overwhelming is putting it very mildly. However, I’m so grateful to Dr. Shah and everyone at his office for turning what could have been a personal nightmare into an effusively positive experience. From pre-op to post, they’ve been kind, responsive, and eager to address all my concerns with professionalism and urgency. It’s such a relief knowing that one of the most harrowing experiences of a life time can be turned around by a group of hardworking caregivers like these folks.

Dr Shah helped me get through a severe case of diverticulitis. He communicated very well in what was needing to be done and I truly felt safe trusting him with my health every step of the way. I would recommend Dr Shah to anyone that is needing major colon surgery, he truly felt like a friend.

My dad is 81 years old with diastolic heart failure and a-fib along with other health issues so I was worried going into this surgery. The surgery went great without complications and we are so thankful for Dr Shah! Amazing surgeon. I would go to Dr Shah again without hesitation. This was the first time I've ever had surgery and when it came time to have a possibly life-saving procedure 2 weeks ago, Dr Shah performed the robotic laprascopic partial colectomy with such care and precision that I don't even feel like I was operated on. My recovery time has been very easy and I'm grateful for the pre-op guidance that helped me with that outcome. I could not have asked for it to go any better than this.

I received excellent care with Dr. Shah. He was thorough adn collaborative in his approach, consulting with a team on my care. He was kind and communicative, giving me accurate and straightforward information. He was open to questions and gave me answers to the best of his ability. My surgery was complex and he was able to explain his thoughts and approach prior and was able to discuss his methods after the fact so that I could understand what symptoms to look out for and how to take care of myself after to keep my recovery going. He always made me feel like I was part of my own treatment team.
