In my 7th week, I noticed light spotting and some cramping so I called the office and spoke to a nurse. She said that it’s pretty common but to call back if it increases. Both increased so I called back but no one answered so I left a message. Over an hour went by with no call so I went in hoping someone could check to see what was going on. When I got there, the nurse was sitting at the desk (still hadn’t called me back) and told me that I shouldn’t have come in because there was no doctor at the office that day (a Wednesday), so they couldn’t help me. After insisting to be seen, she said based on Dr. Spark’s protocol the only thing they could do for me was labs and have me go back 48 hours later for more labs so they could compare my levels, but assured me that I was most likely okay. Knowing that something was definitely wrong, I ended up going to the ER and it was confirmed by the ER doctor that I was having a miscarriage. If you want to be taken care of, DON’T go to this office.

She needs to find a new profession. No bedside manner, and completely dismissed a preterm labor as dehydration, yet didn’t order fluids. 5 hours later, mom is full on labor and 6cm at 30 weeks rushing back to the hospital only be be greeted by Dr. Sparks. She snubbed it off like ya, I should’ve did more. She better be thankful my niece is thriving in the NICU. Horrible.

I have a rather complicated OB/GYN history along with other health issues. She recently delivered my 6th child via c-section. I have seen several OB/GYNs over the last 10 years. She by far has been the most considerate and has had the best bedside manner. She went above and beyond to calm my anxieties and took all precautions for my son and I to get through my last pregnancy healthy. Her office staff is great too. As long as she is practising in my area I will always go to her.
