I am a very nervous patient having anything done, I was rushed and told I needed to get over it, not a very bedside manor for patients that are nervous. Very rushed.

Great Doctor!
I was sent to see her by my Oncologist. The staff, and nurse is awesome as well. She explained everything to me in detail, and took time with me. I am glad she is working with me and my Oncologist.

Staff not up to par
I was referred to Dr. Cunningham two weeks ago. Not hearing from them, I called today. I was told by office staff my referral just came in by fax. I have had 3 tests that show my thyroid is enlarged causing me swallowing problems. I was given an appointment for July 22, 2022. Today’s date is June 6, 2022. I asked if they could help with my throat closing and they said no. I want to cry. The office staff is not up to standards. My husband has been going here for 4 years and his experience is the same. Very disappointed.

I was referred by PCP d/t Hashimoto’s and needing a specialist to manage my thyroid. She is friendly, but very poor communication skills in the office. Took calling several times calling to have someone report back on labs, etc. Dismissed my genuine symptoms I was experiencing and stated it was “because I have kids.” She was strictly text book, in my case. When I called regarding symptoms I was having, I was given a suggested diagnosis without a proper assessment. Every patient is different so this was my experience.

Are people reviewing the same Dr Amanda Cunningham that I saw? I didn’t notice a single one of the negatives people have posted. I am nothing but 100% happy with her, her nursing staff and her office staff. Everyone there was very friendly. Dr Cunningham, quite frankly spent more time listening to me, examining me, and explaining things to me than any doctor I have visited in a long time. She called me within a few days and gave me my test and lab results and she explained them to me. I highly recommend her.

In October I was contacted by Dr. Cunningham’s office saying that I had an upcoming annual checkup. It was scheduled for today, November 5 at 11:15 am. I arrived at the office at 11:00 am so that I could fill out several forms, as they were changing over systems and didn’t have time to update the information themselves. I, along with several other patients, waited way past our appointment times. Finally after 1 pm, my name was called to the desk. I was told that Dr. Cunningham didn’t really need to see me unless I thought something was wrong. I was asked if I had any bloodwork done in the last year, to which I replied “no,” and then she told me that I was free to leave. I waited for 2 hours and was never seen. The staff didn’t seem remorseful at all. In my opinion, I think they realized that they over-scheduled patients for the time that I was scheduled, and since my appointment was not a top priority case, they sent me home. This was not the first time I have had to wait a long period

My primary provider referred me to Dr. Cunningham for the purpose of getting me a dexa/bone density scan. The scan was performed on August 28, 2019. Since then, I've called her office at least 4 times to get the results & to this date, no one has called me back. Yesterday (09.16.2019), I stopped by her clinic to sign a release to get the report so that I'd know what it said. The clinic wanted to charge me $25 to get a copy when I had called at least 4 times and the nurse, Trisha, wouldn't call me back. They said they could email the report at no cost. Later that day, I saw a different provider who asked if I'd had a dexa and luckily, I had the report to show him. He is who told me I have osteoporosis, which concerns me since Dr. Cunningham and I had discussed treatments for osteo if tests came back positive. Dr. Donald Gravenor at the Baptist Cancer Center is now managing my osteo. Unfortunately, Dr. Cunningham dropped the ball.

Terrible office staff, was told I could make payments on my balance of $85 from my initial visit....went for follow up labs and was told to pay the entire balance before they would give me my Synthroid. The nurse who told me this exhibited some of the most rudest behavior I've ever witnessed, especially for a doctor's office. Would not recommend at all. I had to hound nurse for my initial lab results & was diagnosed with a serious disease over the phone. No one explained any of it to me....

if i could have gave her NO stars i would have. I went to have my levels drawn for my thyroid condition to make sure the meds i am taking is working and i got a whole lot more. I was insulted within the first 10 mins of her being in the room. she stated that i am not one of the that can eat and eat and not gain any weight. she also stated that i have pre-diabetic and i have PCOS and no blood was drawn. that was her observation just by looking at me. I paid her 275.00 to insult me in front of m

Goes strictly by lab numbers. You can list a dozen different symptoms that all started when she changed your medicine, but she will not listen. It's not her problem! She doesn't explain anything, and she does not give you a say at all in your therapy.

Cannot recommend this practice. Took over two months to get an appointment. Only talked about when I was diagnosed (two years prior) - didn't ask about current symptoms or even ask why I had made the appointment. Saw her for a total of 15 minutes maybe? Had to call for two weeks for lab results. Office mgr is terribly rude and insisted on discussing my medical records while I was in waiting room. Also suggested her own diagnosis... Took me completely off synthroid with no observation or check up

Wait is entirely too long. Walked out on 2 separate occasions. Should not have to wait more than 15-2o minutes in my opinion. They overbook way too much. 3 months to get a recheck is ridiculous.
