Upper eyelid blepharoplasty
Dr. Amanda Cook was excellent throughout my entire process with this surgery. Her bedside manner is so warm and she has such a perfection mindset. This procedure was so easy with minimal, (if any) discomfort. I would highly recommend her to all of my clients! I have done cosmetic injectables for over 16 years and I can’t rave about her enough.

Surgery
I am 70 years old went in for cataract surgery. I have needed reading glasses for over 30 years, but never wore glasses for watching TV, driving or shopping. I now can read with out reading glasses, BUT can not see clearly past my arm length. I need glasses for everything and still do not see clearly after 4 months. I am not happy!!!

Dr. Amanda Cook treated me for a red, painful, inflamed eye. I found her care to be among the best I've received from any physician; she is knowledgable, experienced, compassionate, and trustworthy. She answered my questions without being dismissive or condescending. She gave me clear instructions and made sure I felt comfortable calling her office should any new questions arise. I would send any of my loved ones to her in a heartbeat.

Compared to Dr. Rosenberg, and other optometrists over my lifetime, Dr. Cook’s exam of my eyes seemed cursory, and wasn’t at all comprehensive. She didn’t even bother to check my peripheral vision: and I was very disappointed that she just jumped to my need for cataract surgery. And while she told me I had no problem with developing diabetic retinopathy. I am truly tired of having to remind younger physicians that I have other conditions such as hypothyroidism! And just check the list of prescription medications I always bring please! Will not be scheduling cataract surgery or yearly exams with her. I plan to return to Dr. Paul Rosenberg who has done laser surgery on my eye. And because he is the only Fellow above being Board Certified!

Rarely, do you hear about people having complications during cataract surgery. I did; and I am so thankful that I had Dr. Cook and her years of experience to fix my problem. The right eye surgery was perfect. The left eye was the challenge. Apparently, I was born without the little fibers that hold the new lens in place. Dr. Cook literally had to build a gasket to keep the lens in place. The surgery was over an hour long. I am so thankful for Dr. Cook!

Dr. Cook removed cataract in both my eyes in summer 2014. She inserted WRONG lens in right eye. About a week later, she removed wrong lens and replaced with correct lens and damaged my eye in the process. I couldn't understand why I could not tolerate light and suffered horrible headaches. She never told that she shaved off part of my iris during second surgery on right eye. I learned that from second ophthalmologist who treated me for the pain. Then she wrote WRONG eye glasses script.

Before surgery, I was told that once my cataracts were removed that I would have corrected vision. Now I have to still wear glasses to see distance and can no longer see close up. After the surgery, a different story was presented. The prescription given to me to take to my eye doctor to make new glasses was incorrect.
