Gaslighter
As a person with two chronic pain conditions, I've been fortunate to only have doctors who've listened and empathized. Until Lewis. 'Are you sure your pain isn't just in your head?' It's as a real as your medical degree, but then again, maybe passing your exams was all in your head too. I'd rather suffer a medical emergency than have the displeasure of speaking to this man again. And after asking the optum receptionist to take him off my care team, the woman behind me in line shared her own horror stories of being gaslit and told nothing but to lose weight from him. If you don't care about quality care, please see him and save the other doctors' availability for the rest of us. But if you'd rather have a doctor who's not phoning it in, wait the extra month to see someone else.

Seems to be very against women
Telehealth
In addition to telling me to starve myself and to get gastric bypass surgery, which was completely unnecessary, he continued to tell me that I would look like a model. In addition to that I have called in a few times requesting an emergency contraceptive because I do not feel comfortable taking birth control And he told me why don’t I just buy it over-the-counter or be on birth control he was trying to fight it against me. Trying to make me feel bad for needing this and it’s covered by my insurance. It is his job to write the prescription for me. That’s what I’m paying them for.

Literally Told Me to Starve Myself?
My usual doctor was unavailable for a follow up following an Urgent Care visit (which I was urged to do in the week following said uc visit) so I took the first available at the practice, which ended up being Dr. Lewis. He spent the entire consultation telling me 'I don't care' when I listed my symptoms, concerns, even showed pictures of what I had been experiencing. He laughed at me when I said it had only been four days and said 'now I really don't care.' He reluctantly checked my stomach, very roughly and without warning before undressing me; ignored my complaints of pain where he checked and wrote it off as 'normal'. When I sat up, he immediately jumped in on me for how 'losing a few pounds in my stomach would be really great if that's something I was willing to do.' (not at all related to why I had come in, mind you) He then said, and I quote, 'I'd essentially starve you in a fun way' so hard no for me, thanks. I'll be looking elsewhere.

I lied that the doctor actually looked at my incisions, thumped my abdomen, listened to my plugs.

Christina Neagos, the Nurse Practitioner, was very good medically. She did NOT have the warmest personality. It is more important to me that she listened and is working with me to find out if I have a problem.

When I was describing my symptoms - one of which was body aches - he dismissed it and said - Oh that's arthritis. He ordered blood work and then when it came back "normal" he called to let me know and that was that. I returned the call and said - Thanks but that doesn't solve my problem (I have extreme fatigue - literally narcoleptic at times - and body aches and no energy. He again returned my call and said - We'll the leading factors for those symptoms are being overweight and depressed so I should look into that. (I have the phone calls saved if anyone wants to hear them. )

I was impressed by the attention I received from my doctor. He spent more time with me than most doctors, listening to my concerns and discussing his assessment.

Doctor proposed that I go on a diet of 3 bites of food at lunch and dinner in order to lose belly fat. That was the only medical advice given.
