Dr. Alma Devine, MD

Horrific. Should have her medical license revoked. She never contacted me after a tumor was discovered in my brain. After I finally tracked her down, she begrudgingly returned my call and blamed the tumor on a medication I was taking. I found a new doctor who ruled out interference from this drug, and I am now receiving treatment to shrink the tumor. Had I listened to Dr. Devine, I wouldn’t be receiving any care, and I’d be at a greater risk for developing osteoporosis. Shame on you, Dr. Devine, for not caring enough about your patients!

Could not care less about you as a patient. The office staff is awful. Not one person seems content with their jobs.

I made two separate appointments on MDLive, in need of medical attention. I described in detail my symptoms to make it easy for the doctor, which completely disappeared and I had to reproduce it a second time, only for her to cancel again several minutes into the appointment time. I waited several moments each appointment only to get a cancellation notice with no explanation, apologies, or option to reschedule. The first time I thought maybe there were technical difficulties and gave the benefit of the doubt. The second time? Why is your calendar open to begin with? Disrespectful to patients in need.

This doctor has the worse bedside manner. This appointment was a waste of my time.

No bedside manner. She did not even answer any concerns or questions I had. She seemed 'too good' to even be involved in our appointment. I left feeling just as confused as I was before I went in. I dont even know how she is a doctor.

Waited months for this appointment only for Dr. Devine to barely even look at me. After waiting a long time in the room she finally came in & just sat down at a computer looking at the screen while asking me if I’ve tried numerous dangerous crash diets—the kicker is I was not there for weight loss advice nor am I “having trouble losing weight”. I was there for an inquiry about thyroid/hormonal function. I repeatedly explained to her my history & my reason for being there, but she did not listen to a word I said & kept asking me questions I had already answered. Then she wrote in her post-visit report that she had performed a physical exam on me, which she did not—she didn’t touch me at all, again she barely even looked at me. She literally wrote that I have “no scars” on my neck when I have a visible trach scar with a few smaller scars surrounding it, front and center on my neck. Seriously? Go to literally any other endocrinologist because this experience was horrendous.

Dr. Divine is awful and unprofessional with 0 compassion for her patients. She sent a diabetic patient away because they were 20 min late! With the new Lake Grove location, the traffic on 347 is horrendous. He was never late before (which the woman in the 'call center' confirmed), and when I asked why they wouldn't see him, she was told the Dr. herself refused!! She even said she heard from many patients the traffic this morning was terrible. Keep in mind, she had to call the clinic 2x to even get through. SB Endocrinology has rescheduled him on numerous occasions because the doctor wasn't going to be in last minute. He has shown up to many appointments just to wait over an hour to see someone or to get told 'we don't have you scheduled today-' even though it shows up on his patient portal! Dr. Devine sees this patient 1x a year, how could she send her patient away- a diabetic one no less!?? Like I said before, and I'll say it again, she is heartless and insensitive.

Had an appt with Dr. Devine via MDlive. I waited 15 mintues then got a phone call that she had canceled visit, no apologies and no rescheduling.
