Refused to listen to pain
I went to her for my annual last year. Despite me being very clear about not being sexually active and having had abdominal surgery three weeks prior, Dr. Urrutia refused to listen when I was in severe pain during my routine exam. She kept claiming she was almost done. I’ve had these exams for quite a few years and I can easily say it was the most painful it’s ever been and the longest it’s ever taken a doctor to complete this exam. Would not recommend

Messy C-Section
Dr. Urrutia gave my partner the worst-looking C-section I have ever seen, and in the process she cut a vein that resulted in an enormous hematoma. My partner had to receive an emergency blood transfusion and is still undergoing extensive postpartum care more than two months after delivery. If she is your OB/GYN, I wish you the best of luck.

I had a truly horrible experience with Dr. Urrutia. She was my OB during my second pregnancy, after my original OB moved away. During my pregnancy, she prescribed me a new medication that she assured me had no harmful side effects and was perfectly safe. After I delivered, we discovered that I was unable to breastfeed due to the medication. My milk never came in, even after dry pumping every 2 hours for 3 weeks. This was both physical and emotional torture. Because of her failure to properly research the medication she prescribed me, I cannot breastfeed. I have missed that bonding opportunity with my child and I will now have to spend a large amount of money on formula for the next year. I have no issues with anyone choosing not to breastfeed their child, but that decision was stolen from me. I would hope to protect anyone reading this from Dr. Urrutia's horrible care.

Dr. Urrutia and her staff are AMAZING! She is incredibly knowledgable and I felt I was in excellent hands for the entirety of my pregnancy as well as postpartum and with general women's care. My appointments are always super quick and on time. With past doctors I would wait for hours and hours. At Gynics Associates I never wait longer than 5 minutes. Absolutely amazing doctor, and practice. Thank you!!!

Dr. Urrutia and her nurse, Jennifer were excellent. Timely and professional, they both went that extra distance to make sure I felt comfortable on my first visit. I really loved my previous gynecologist so was disappointed I had to change when I switched insurances, but am very happy now.
