Dr. Allen Chernoff, MD

Recently had to undergo circumcision scar revision surgery with a plastic surgeon for a cosmetically awful adult circumcision Dr. Chernoff performed on me a few years ago. Dr. Chernoff performed my circumcision in a way that paid 0 attention to the cosmetic end result. His stitching technique left noticeable hypertrophic railroad track-like scarring, which is easily anticipated given the way adult wounds heal, and which shattered my physical confidence for years. In summary, Dr. Chernoff succeeded in removing my foreskin, but absolutely failed in delivering a cosmetically acceptable result. Beware to anyone who is considering an adult circumcision with this particular urologist, and please consider consulting a board-certified plastic surgeon as they are just about the only physicians specifically trained to consider how you will look after a surgical procedure.

Called his office to cancel and re-schedule appointment for my husband. On hold for over 10 minutes. When the operator got back to me (she sounded to be about 15 and completely uninterested in anything other than getting rid of me) she hung up on me, rather than allowing me to reschedule. After reading these other comments, maybe she did me a favor!

After visiting his offices twice in 12 months, he didn't return my phone calls, when i eventually got through, he told me he had never seen me before. When that all got sorted out and I called back to get a refill on my prescription, his assistant told me that the doctor hadn't seen me in 11 years (it had been about 1 year) and wouldn't be calling me back. Terrible experience, highly recommend not using him

Rude staff, doctor doesn't return calls. Incorrect information in system that had to be updated every time i called. Do not recommend.

Worst experience ever. The Doctor never called with test results even after several call to get those records on my end. Test completed on December 15th today is January 10 and still no response.

He gave me the wrong information about my condition before surgery. He scheduled my surgery for a location not covered by my insurance and was "on vacation" until my surgery, which it seems he raced from the airport to perform. He then gave me the CORRECT diagnosis AFTER surgery (and I wouldn't know the full extent of the issue if I hadn't asked for records) and may have operated under the wrong diagnosis. He's inattentive in the extreme and values vacations over patient care. Never ever again.
