Poor bedside manner
I have had several colonoscopies without any issue until today. I am a hard IV stick, which I told them upon arrival.. After the nurse tried two times, Dr. Carrigan came in. He was rude and abrupt. Tried starting an IV in my foot after failed attempt in my arm when I asked him if it would hurt in my foot his answer was “less than it would getting the procedure without an IV.” I found him very abrasive and not professional at all.! Finally a woman anesthesiologist came in. She was so kind and got my IV in a very small hand vein on the first try.. (I plan to give her a wonderful review). When I went in the to the procedure, he was in there and pushed the medicine fast and hard into the tiny vein. My hand and arm felt like they were on fire.. I am a registered nurse and found him to be abrupt and the least caring provider I’ve ever dealt with. The doctor doing the procedure and the rest of the staff were wonderful. This is the first time I have ever given a medical person a bad review!

Horrible!
This doctor came in after they were struggling to get my IV in. I was in tears because it hurt. He came in and said of course it hurts and gave the nurse a hard time for taking it out because it hurt said she should have left it in. I was very short with him after his horrible bed side manner thankfully they gave me the sweetest lady after that but he had zero empathy and was not very professional. It was the fourth time they tried to insert the i lv with no success. I wish they gave an option for zero stars.

I had great luck with Dr. Carignan! He is very efficient and very good at what he does. I don't need to be cuddled with to make my pain feel better. His personality is what you would expect from someone that is very good at what they do. He has no tolerance for people just trying to get pain killers. He would rather fix the problem. It's how he is. If you are just looking to get medicine, wrong guy. Fix the problem? Right guy

All my all my injuries have been documented by CAT scans and MRIs emg's and comfirmed by at least 7-9 doctors and specialist and doctors who work for insurance Co.doing IME exams.yet dr. Carrigan spend 5 minutes with me and said I wasn't hurt shouldn't be taking medication that other doctors have been prescribing to me since 1993 turned walked out of the room most arrogant doctor I've ever been to in 26 years of being injured will not go back WOULD MOT RECOMEND HIM IF YOUR IN PAIN I would give 0 Stars if alive

Excellent pain Dr. The lower rated reviews are from people complaining he won’t give them opioids. Those of us looking for safer ways to manage chronic pain appreciate Dr Carrignan, he is highly skilled, intelligent, and ethical.

Unprepared, didn't do an exam, looked at my records briefly during visit, determined he couldn't help me. He new nothing about my rare painful condition was unwilling to learn about it before turning me away. This physician was not just having a bad day. His demeanor and manor was arrogant and demeaning. I left the office crying.
