Dr. Allegra Cummings, MD

Dr. Cummings is an ideal gynecologist. She is friendly, communicative, and straightforward, and always takes the time to make sure you understand everything. I feel very taken care of and recommend her highly. The practice is in general terrific as well, and all the medical and support staff I have interacted with over the years have been polite, efficient, and easy to work with.

Dr. Cummings is the BEST in her field. I follow her from Mount Sinai and wouldn’t change her for anything. She is so knowledgeable, super sweet, caring and has the best bedside manners. I make sure to schedule my next annual appointment right after I finish getting my annual appointment. I love Dr. Cummings!

Dr Cummmings delivered my first daughter and even if it was a high risk pregnancy, Dr Cummings turned it into a walk in the park. I still have great memories of the meticulous and attentive and expert care she provided.Dr Cummings has been my OBGYN for a few years now and she has always been considerate, actively listening to my needs and concerns, offering expert advice and support.

Dr. Cummings took care of me through my pregnancy and birth (advanced maternal age with no other issues). She really took the time to inform us of options and patiently answer our questions, and I truly feel we got excellent care and had a great experience. She was especially reassuring and positive without watering down necessary information which I really appreciated as I had a lot of trepidation about pregnancy and birth but wanted to understand any issues. The office was very responsive and accommodating.

Excellent service. She takes the time to going over every single concern and explain detailed results and make it easy to understand. Very kind and caring will continue to see her.

I have been going to Dr. Cummings for years! She listens to the concerns of her patience and truly accommodates our needs. Dr. Cummings is more than excellent, she is superb!!! And, did I mention that she says 'hi' to you when she sees you outside when shopping!

Had a great experience with Dr Cummings - she is very warm and takes the time to explain things well and put you at ease. The practice is very clean and modern and I loved that she delivers at Alexandra Cohen - having all private rooms (at no extra cost) was 100% worth it and I can’t imagine having a shared room for that type of experience. I am also extremely pleased with how quickly I healed from my planned c section and how great the scar looks - all credit to Dr Cummings!

Today I had my very first visit with Dr. Cummings. She welcomed me warmly, went over my medical history with me, performed a thorough ON-GYN check-up, including taking a pap smear, breast and vaginal exams, and authorized 3 routine procedures--mammogram, breast ultrasound, and bone density scan. She answered my questions and clarified some concerns I shared with her in a clear, easy-to-understand manner. I'm delighted to have found such a compassionate and caring doctor to call upon as needed. THANKS!!!

Dr. Cummings is a knowledgeable and warm doctor who listens to her patients wants and needs. I found her through my doula practice (Brooklyn Doula Collective, which I also recommend!) and I was extremely impressed. I had initially wanted to work with a midwife for my pregnancy, but my insurance wouldn't fully cover that option. Instead, I found Dr. Cummings who has experience with unmedicated births. More so, she is willing to work with her patients so that they have the outcome that they feel is best. It is so necessary to feel seen and heard, especially during labor and delivery. Dr. Cummings is trustworthy and experienced, in addition to being warm and welcoming. I highly, highly recommend working with her!
