Dr. Alkesh Amin, MD

My entire family are huge fans of Dr. .Amin. I have never met a more caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable physician. He will spend as long as necessary to visit with you and get a thorough understanding of your medical and emotional needs. He works from dawn to dusk and yet he came to the hospital after work for at least an hour or two as we dealt with a sudden terminal cancer diagnosis. He felt our heartbreak and even she’d tears with us. We are currently contemplating a move 7 hours away and the only reason we haven’t made the leap is because we don’t want to lose the best family doctor we have ever had.

Doctor that takes time and I can totally trust with my health.

I have been a patient of Dr. Amin since he first started practicing in Lake Jackson. I cannot say enough good things about how he has taken care of me and my family. It should also be noted that he is highly respected by other physicians and the staff of nurses and other caregivers at our local health care facilities. He always puts the care and wellbeing of his patients first!

My husband and I have been using Dr. Amin as our PCP for many years now. He is very thorough on our annual blood tests, and has always been a very personable, friendly doctor who does NOT rush in and rush out whenever you are there to see him for whatever reason. He has always taken the time needed to communicate thoroughly with us both about any problems or issues we are having.

I did not visit this doctor, but simply called for a valid fax number. Melissa, I believe her name was, had me on hold for almost 5 minutes. She did come back to the phone once and stated "I'll be right with you" and placed me on hold again. When she finally got to me, she was short and rude. I was not even able to fully explain why I was calling before she interrupted me to blurt out the fax number. I would never recommend or visit this provider based solely on the lack of customer service skills his front staff has displayed.

We love Dr. Amin. He has been our primary care physician for over 25 years. He has always taken excellent care of Jim and I. He has gone over and above with care if we had any serious health problem even to calling and checking on us at home. He has always looked after us as if we were family. Refuses to give patient and other doctors dentists any kind of medical clearance when they ask for one!

Dr. Amin is one of the hardest working and most compassionate doctors I have ever seen. He will spend a great deal of time with each patient. While my dad has been in the hospital, he has met with the family for long periods of time explaining my dad's medical condition but also helping to calm our fears. Our family has been patients of Dr. Amin for many years and I would not trade him for anything.

Dr. Amin is one of the best physicians I have ever dealt with. He is thorough and takes time to listen to questions and concerns. I have a complicated medical issue which has required many hospitalizations and care from multiple physicians. Dr. Amin does an excellent job of working with various doctors to provide the best care.

Dr. Amin was most thorough in his examination and diagnosis. His bedside manner was most friendly, understanding, unhurried, and confident. His medical advice and guidance were accurate. His initiative in follow up procedures and transfer to a major hospital in Houston were prompt and effective. We thank him with all our heart for his timely diagnosis, advice, and help in averting a major stroke which might have been life-threatening or debilitating for life. We feel immense gratitude.
