Dr. Alka Bennion, MD

I have been going to doctor Bennion for 6 years. She is smart, helpful, and really good at what she does.

Dr Bennion is by far the best doctor I have ever had. She never rushes me. She listens to everything I have to say and answers all my questions. She’s very thorough. You can tell she actually cares about your well-being.

Dr. Bennion is amazing. She is knowledgeable, down to earth, and an extremely skilled surgeon. She always takes her time and thoroughly explains everything during appointments. She was able to provide me with a diagnosis for issues when I was brushed off by other doctors. She is, hands down, my favorite doctor who has treated me (and there has been many). I would absolutely recommend her to anyone and everyone.

Dr. Bennion is so smart, kind, professional and takes her time with me each time I visit. She really hears me and talks through every question I have. Not to mention, she’s very personable and down to earth.

Dr. Bennion is an incredible doctor who listens to her patients and provides help. I had been suffering (unknowningly) with endometriosis for years. All my prior doctors told me to take advil and just deal with the heavy periods. Dr Bennion was the only doctor to look deeper into my symptoms and determined they were not 'normal' periods and 'normal cramping'. She performed an excision and ablation last November and I am pain and period free. I am so happy our paths crossed and recommend her highly.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, DO NOT TRUST HER. I've been seeing Dr. Bennion for over a year. She is very personable and pleasant on most occasions though rushes through apt's. on every occasion. She has absolutely no idea why my only remaining ovary is still producing 5+CM hemorrhagic cysts every few months while im on BC. A quick call to my pelvic specialist (Dr. Hibner) confidently stated that low dose progesterone is absolutely not effective in preventing cysts. & she cant read ultrasounds. WTH?

I’m sure she’s very competent at what she does, but in my case, self-interest caused her to steer me away from the best hernia doctor in Arizona for a team combo gyn/hernia procedure with Nirav Patel simply because she doesn’t go to the same hospital as the better doctor. But after the co-pay/time to see Patel, he said he no longer does hernias anyway (which Bennion nor her staff were aware of). But Patel was honest and said my first choice for the hernia was the best. Bennion also rushed me.

After searching and searching for a good doctor which I could feel connected to, I found Dr. Alka Bennion. From the moment I met her I was able to feel her sincere and knowledgeable approach. This immediately helped me to feel confident and able to trust her enough with my life, and I decided she was going to be the one to perform my needed and overdue cervical polyp removal. She is sweet, professional and caring. I knew I was in great hands. The surgery went amazing , I really recommend her.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bennion for a little over a year now. She is so kind and gentle she takes the time to explain things and make sure you are comfortable. If you are looking for a new OBGYN she is the one to go to!!
