RUDE.
It was an after hours return call. She called me back and was immediating rude. Asked me why was she talking to me. Didn't give me any time to respond and beraded me for calling after hours. This person really doesn't care about anyone but herself.

Competent and good communicator
Dr. Freeman was patient, explained each step of the procedure beforehand, was thorough in her investigation and diagnosis. She did not rush me out of the office, rather she insured that I understood my diagnosis and the course of treatment. She answered my questions thoroughly. I highly recommend Dr. Freeman.

Reptilian level of compassion
There are many good physicians at NW Gastroenterology, but Alison Freeman is not one of them. She's cold and uncaring, felt that she did not need to discuss her plan with me to administer max dose of an antihistamine IV and a more than average amount of conscious sedation, and then lost the most significant specimen to biopsy from my procedure. This experience was terrible and the very reason people are afraid to get colonoscopies because of fear of being treated exactly like this. I was discharged to my husband feeling sick, unable to walk without weaving, and feeling more than a bit traumatized when I woke up several hours later at home.

Unsafe and uncaring
Alison Freeman did not discuss any of the anesthesia she decided to load me with. Instead of feeling listened to and safe, I felt manhandled and then shoved out the door. I was given a a really large amount of sedatives without any empirical reason or justification. I was sick and not properly recovered when I was walked to my husband outside the building. I am sure there are good gastroenterologists at NW Gastro, but this woman is not one of them.

The first thing is Dr. Freeman looks you in the eye. Speaks to you directly not a computer screen. She is thorough, and confident. She is passionate about what she is called to do.

Dr. Freeman is the opposite of a caring practitioner. She seems annoyed whenever I have an appointment. She dismisses any questions or concerns I might have. She is often condescending. If you want a doctor who simply wants to act as a health "dictator" then Dr. Freeman is the right choice for you. If you're looking for someone who treats you with intelligence, compassion and respect, you'd be better off with anyone but her.
