35 years ago I chose Alida Rol, MD, as my OB-GYN when I was pregnant. I was aware at that time that she had been awarded some international recognition. Alida's research included maternal-fetal issues. So she helped me understand some rare perinatal health issues related to my pregnancy. I had had previous pregnancies 20 years earlier that had resulted in sad results. Alida actually called me at my home frequently to ask about my symptoms and my general mental health. I appreciated so much a doctor who would show that much personal concern. Our result was that this baby was born early but healthy after Alida's 3/4 successful inversion and respectful delivery. Meanwhile, I am so HAPPY to report that today that baby is a Perinatal Specialist Little Lacey was an OB nurse for 8 years then decided to pursue a doctorate in Maternal Fetal Medicine. I could not be more proud for knowing precious women like Alida Rol, MD, and Lacey Rose Miller, BSN, DNP, .... lots of other initials.
