Dr. Ali Zirakzadeh, MD

Dr. Zirakzadeh is the best Medical Doctor that I have seen in years. His ability to diagnose is exceptional. He asks the right questions and he gets to the problem accurately and quickly.

Getting set up with a new primary care doctor is always a challenge, so I am very grateful that Dr. Zirakzadeh was recommended to me by another doctor in the area. Dr. Z was super well-prepared with all of my health information at my first visit, took plenty of time to talk about my establishment of care plans, and got just the right tests ordered. He and his team are smart, compassionate, professional, and friendly.

This man has spent too many years viewing patients as ill. I am a relatively healthy 80 year old, still active dental specialist with background in research and over fifty years of patient care. I have absolutely never met such a mal-health oriented individual. Whatever this fellows problem, I believe he consciously or unconsciously desires to subjugate the patient’s well being in order to become a minister to his perception of disease. He has no perspective nor wisdom. I realize these are harsh words. I state them after months of deep reflection on my one and only appointment. If you want to be treated as a pathology, he’s your man!

Dr. Ziradzadeh started at Boulder Internal Medicine last year. My doctor left the practice so I transferred to Dr. Ziradzadeh. It was the best thing I could have done. I was on several meds. I also gained a lot of weight. He looked at my med list and started asking me questions. I told him how frustrated I was. I said no one listens to me all they do is add new meds. I also said some of them I don't take. He said I don't think you need a lot of these. Since I've been working with Dr. Z I am off 3/4 of the meds. I have also lost 50 lbs. Almost back to an acceptable weight. When I get back to my normal weight I will be jumping for joy. Dr. Z thinks my normal weight isn't that far away. If you need a good Doctor, please go see him. I drive approximately 30 miles one way. I live in a Metropolitan city. I have a lot of doctors to choose from. I've tried many of them. I found out that sometimes you have to go where the Good doctors are!

I am so impressed with the way Dr Z really goes down the list and makes sure to address all my issues. He is knowledgeable and doesn’t make me feel like I’m rushed.

I have been using Dr. Z as my PCP for several years, including use of both employer-provided and Medicare insurance. He has been consistently comprehensive with his attention to my health status and issues, and effective with the treatments he prescribed. He is direct and attentive in our communications. Not the touchy/feely type, which works for me.

Dr. Z was completely not compassionate at all when I was in his office crying about recently finding out I wouldn’t be able to have kids. Instead he asked me if we needed to reschedule our appointment. And no matter what I went to see him for he would try to diagnose it as seasonal allergies.
