Dr. Alfredo Farinas, MD

This was the first time seeing the doctor. It was for a physical. I had some other issues with walking and numbness. He spent about 15 minutes with me Ordered a referral for an MRI and a neurologist. He said to come back in 30 days for a follow up. Had to call back several times just to get those appointments. Called back several more times and never got a call back. Took it upon myself to go to Mayo in Jacksonville. Had cervical stenosis and a cyst on my spinal cord. They perform surgery that next day. If I waited much longer, I could’ve had serious damage. The level of care that I received from Doctor Farinas was less than acceptable. Waiting another 30 days to see him could’ve cost me some of my physical mobility. I have a new GP in Jacksonville at Mayo.

Moving to Mount Dora from Miami was great, except that I had to find the doctors that I trusted to take care of me with my preexisting conditions. After experimenting with others, I hit on Dr Farinas a terrific pro-active qualified, and caring doctor that would do the unthinkable of calling me during several of my bouts.Call me a healthcare snob, but if I’m paying good money for good insurance, I want to get the best care and Dr. Farinas was a godsend.

Dr. Farinas is extremely knowledgeable and was able to diagnose my issue before it became a serious problem. He was able to refer me to a specialist for proper care. He is very friendly and direct. Did not waste my time.

I recently had the pleasure of seeing Dr.Farinas and staff. He was very personable and friendly. He answered my questions and treated my conditions with care and proper medical management. I would refer him to my family and friends!

My husband was in a speciality care where he was to be under the care of Dr. Farinas. When I asked for information about the care that my husband was given, he never returned my calls. My husband was neglected and only after I demanded my husband be released from this care center he was returned to ER in such bad shape I was heart broken that my husband was left in the hands of an incompetent doctor, my husband passed away that same day.

My family member was recently in the hospital for over two months under the "care" of Dr. Farinas. Let me tell you, my family member got no care whatsoever!!! When we asked about his condition or anything, we were told to ask his surgeon. When our son made a trip from out of state to specifically speak with Dr. Farinas personally about my family member's condition and prognosis, he was told to "pray". What kind of medical care is that?! Honestly? He doesn't care about anyone, just the money!
