Dr. Alfred Colfry Jr, MD

Upon entering Dr. Colfry’s office there is a picture from a magazine article on the wall. If he was a top notch Doctor at this time in his practice he’s not living up to that now. I’m not sure if he reads these reviews but he should. He’s of the era, don’t ever question the doctor. Pompous. Rude. Arrogant. Dismissive. Lacks Compassion. Uninterested in the patient needing to share information, ask questions, and cuts you off. Visit over in less than 10 minutes. Come back next week. Another co-pay. He’ll never consult over the phone. I called and said my mother was too weak to get in the car. He had to see her in person for, yet, another bladder infection. On another occasion I brought my mom to the hospital thinking she had Covid. It wasn’t Covid. She had inflamed kidneys, radiology said it looked like she passed a kidney stone. Thank God she was treated by another doctor. Colfry came to the hospital bed and charged for his rude 5 minute visit. We’ve since found an excellent doctor.

This doctor is unbelievable!! Such a mean old man, I can’t imagine anyone being satisfied with his care! I do not understand how the hospital allows this urologist to practice medicine. He’s a complete nut job!!!

Staff was incompetent. My husband had a follow up appointment. We waited for over 2 hours to see Dr Colfry. He talked to us for 10 minutes and asked us to come back the next day for a Urodynamic test. I had to bring my own catheter supplies! I made sure this procedure was covered by my insurance and they assured me it was except for the copay. We went back the next day, waited for half an hour and were told he was not on our insurance plan. Office staff was unprofessional in their attitude and Dr Colfry had nothing to say. Awful experience.

This is the most arrogant physician I have ever met. He does not allow you to ask questions without becoming beligerant. I phoned him at 6:00 pm on a Thursday to ask his advice regarding my husband who was having an acute problem. He berated me for not bringing him into the office during the day. He repeatedly said he would not prescribe pain medications nor could he do anything for us over the phone even though I kept telling him I just wanted his advice if I should bring my husband to the ER. He is rude and only cares about collecting your copays. After performing surgery on my husband he requested that we come to the office weekly so he could ask us if the treatment he prescribed was working. I will NEVER set foot in his office again. He is well past his prime and should be retired before he kills someone. If I could give him negative stars I would.

Dr. Colfry does not allow the patient to ask questions regarding his proposed treatment plan. He sent me for an ultrasound. He refused to give me the results over the phone and required an office visit and copay even though the results were negative and I required no further treatment. He became very defensive when I tried to ask questions.

Please do yourself a favor and go to a different urologist. I was referred by my doctor to go to him and wish I would have done more research. He cant stand up and has to sit throughout any/all appointments/procedure. Was very rude and told me to go see a different doctor and wouldnt let my spouse in the procedure room although Ive spoken to many other patients who have done this procedure done with other doctors and were all in attendance during the procedure. Please do your research very rude!

He is absolutely the very best in his field!

Very pleasant experience. Listens to you,takes his time and does not make you feel rushed.
