I have been so impressed with Dr. Clavel. I'm not one to review, but when I see the lower stars, I was astonished. I have had an 11 year long chronic pain problems, and Dr. Calvel was the first one to give me answers and explain my diagnosis, and my symptoms. It is a very confusing process, but he spent an incredible amount of time with me for the two visit I've had, and was incredibly patient and kind, and very thorough in explanation. I highly recommend him.

Poor experience. He lacks compassion, knowledge about current updated medical diagnoses, and has a very skeptical and negative attitude. Really needs to work on being less judgemental with patients and keeping his face and expressions a bit more neutral, if not kind. I had such high hopes but his treatment plan for pain is incredibly vague and nonspecific. I had a very hard time following what exactly they do there. Ultimately he didn't come across as very intelligent.

By far the most compassionate, understanding, knowledgeable AND helpful doctor I've seen in my 50 yrs of spine pain. His recommendations are based on one's physical AND mental health. He accurately assessed my condition w/in 30 mins of my initial visit. I say this based on the fact I definitely felt better during my visit with exercises he showed me to do at home. Explaining that body follows mind gave me hope that my pain could be decreased w/o narcotics! 4 mo - I feel better and better!

I've been going to Dr. Clavel at the Minnesota Head and Neck Pain Clinic for about 8 years for ongoing fibromyalgia pain. He can be a bit gruff at times but underneath that gruff exterior is someone who genuinely cares about each and every person he treats. He knows his stuff and has always taken the time to help, educate and support me, which is saying a lot because fibromyalgia is a beast to treat. He is by far one of the best doctors I've ever gone to. Highly recommend.
