Was dismissive of my concerns
I visited Dr. Honigbaum at Northeastern Dermatology Associates in Boston several years ago. At the time, I believed I was dealing with a scalp infection, which was later confirmed and successfully treated with antibiotics by another physician. However, during my visit with Dr. Honigbaum, there seemed to be a misunderstanding regarding my symptoms. She attributed the issue to scratching rather than addressing the possibility of an infection, despite my attempts to clarify my concerns. Unfortunately, I left the appointment feeling dismissed and without a clear path forward. While this experience occurred six years ago, it left a lasting impression.

My dermatologist no longer took my insurance so I went to her. Never have I experienced a doctor who would not address my concerns for a skin issue . Without going into detail my visit was a waste of time and I will have to go to another. I am a medical professional and totally shocked by my visit. Never had this happened with any other dermatologist I have seen over the years for the same issue.

Dr. Honigbaum found a mole on my leg that was not normal. I went to another Derm in another city 2 years before that and they did not detect the mole. If it wasn't for her, this could have turned into Melanoma. I am forever grateful and trust her for mine and my families Dermatological needs.

My insurance changed so I went to see Dr. Honigbaum cause she was in the network. She was extremely rude, aloof, rushed, and not helpful with anything. I had some acne that showed up randomly and I started to tell her my skincare routine, and she interrupted me to say “that doesn’t matter!” And just moved on, not caring about anything I do or say. I’ll never return there.

Dr. Honigbaum needs some people skills! Rude, to say the least. Her way or the highway! She did not listen well, was argumentative and not informative at all! Waste of time!

I saw Dr. Honigbaum for recurring infections on my face. She told me to stop licking my lips and it will go away. Some of the spots are in places my tongue can’t reach! I showed her what they looked like in the past few days but she said she can’t diagnose through photos because she’s “not a teledoctor.” So rude. I left but asked to go back because licking clearly didn’t cause the spots on my cheek. Her response: “Well, you have rosacea.” Why didn’t she notice that I had rosacea 5 min earlier?

I would not return to this practice, or this provider. I was treated poorly and did not receive appropriate care. Dr. was unwilling to work with my other care providers to get the necessary test results in order to make a diagnosis. Staff was unnecessarily dismissive and combative when attempting to troubleshoot an issue caused by the practice during scheduling.

Dr. Honigbaum is the WORST doctor from Northeast. I have been a patient at Northeast derm for over 6 years, and have never had a problem until I went to her. She is so rude, super rushed, and no one in the office knows what they are doing. SO disorganized. Don't waste your time, there's Dr. Pierre who is wonderful and Litke, go see them before her

Dr. Honigbaum was very honest about the probable efficacy of different treatment options, and the risks associated with each. I felt like she took the time I needed to answer my questions, and had suggestions for findings solutions that worked for me and would be covered by my insurance company.
