Dr. Alexandra Rzepka, MD

I had a horrible experience with this sorry excuse for a physician. After weeks of severe vomiting related to pregnancy, she offered to give me a doctors note for 3 sick days and said “being sick during pregnancy isn’t a disability” for her rationale for why she wouldn’t fill out FMLA paperwork. Zero empathy, compassion and just plain nasty. I am switching medical groups as a result of her lack of care. I’d rather give birth on the side of the express way than risk seeing her in the delivery room.

If possible, I would give No stars. Yes, she is pleasant during regular Ob appointments, but during labor... ask for someone else. She simply doesn’t have the experience. My daughter should have received a c section after hours of pushing and variable heart decelerations. There were signs that the cord was around her neck for hours. After two failed vacuums (yes 2)... I would not push anymore. I had to scream and actually close my legs to get her attention. Finally Dr Rzepka agreed to do a C Section On the way to the OR, baby’s heart dropped. The anesthesiologist yelled to hurry and get the baby out. I look to my side and see the dr smiling and taking her time. My daughter was born, barely breathing, with the cord around her neck. I met my daughter the next morning due to the recovery of the surgery ... that’s when she began having seizures because of the lack of oxygen at birth. Luckily, she will be okay. I absolutely loved Dr. Rzepka. Ob/gyn is an awkward appointment, especially when you are meeting a new doctor for the first time, but I was very comfortable from the moment she walked in. She took the time to hear my concerns and answered all my questions. I can tell that she genuinely cares about me as a person, not just as a patient. Highly recommend her!
