Dr. Alexandra Golant, MD

Dr. Golant is the best doctor I’ve ever seen — intelligent, kind, and caring. She spent a lot of time with me thoughtfully listening and discussing my diagnosis and treatment options. Looking forward to my next visit.

i wish had gotten to see dr. golant but after traveling over an hour to her office, i was rudely informed by her staff that she was running at least an hour behind schedule. they did not notify me of any delays before i arrived. very disrespectful way to treat new patients. i will be taking my business elsewhere.

I had a wonderful doctor in this department, who unfortunately left the practice. So when I was given Dr Golant, I thought she would be great too. I was wrong. She and her office do not respond to messages in a timely fashion and she is somewhat casual about follow up on matters I would consider time sensitive.

Made an appointment 3 months beforehand. When I showed up on the day, they said they'd cancelled the appointment as Dr. Golant was out for the day. And the earliest next availability would be in two months.

Dr. Golant is an amazing and compassionate physician. I travel over 2 hrs to see her and would never trust my care with anyone else and have recommended her to countless family members and friends who also love her. I suffer from severe eczema and she is the only one who took the time to listen. I have clear skin for the first time in my life. Highly recommend!

Terrible she didn't look well to see was was wrong just said sorry I cant do anything for you. Just gave me more meds. to drink. Will never go back. Thanks for nothing.will advise my insurance of this visit.

I saw her on Dec20, 2022 at Mr. Sinai for a 10-15 min office visit involving a scratch test with toothpick to check whether my condition was hives. She coded the visit as “45-60min moderate complexity office visit” resulting me with a bill of $600 pre-insurance deductions. I’ve been trying to get in touch with her, but to no avail. Avoid this doctor

I recently saw Dr. Golant and she was the sweetest person. She answered all my questions. She took her time to explain things to me and also wrote down some really good recommendations for my skin. Her staff was also amazing and very attentive. I will definitely be returning to her for my next appointment.

Dr. Golant was truly unimpressive. Half hour plus wait, no acknowledgment or apology for the wait, then a cursory full body exam done with me seated (vs. lying down as on all other body exams I have had). No concern about the patient perspective or experience. As if pleasant but very rushed. No conversation. Totally impersonal, even indifferent. Seemed eager to get in and out and no apparent interest in a new patient. Zero bedside manner!! Maybe one can do a full body exam in 5 or 6 minutes but that's not what is recommended and I am sure that is not what gets billed!!! I won't be returning.

The staff here are very nice and polite. There is a bit of a wait time but nothing you can't handle. However, as polite as the doctor is, she just doesn't seem to be listening or interested in what you're saying. Yes, maybe my Dermatological issues are a bit shallow seeming, but it is affecting me negatively enough to see this uninterested doctor twice. She saw me for less than 10 mins, for both visits combined. When I was asking her questions, it felt like I was keeping her from performing open heart surgery. Seeing as the office and waiting rooms were quite empty, I couldn't possibly understand why the doctor was in such a rush to not talk to a clearly distraught patient. I left upset and unsatisfied and no closer to an actual diagnosis.

Best dermatologist I have seen in New York. Great bedside manner. Explained diagnosis and carefully outlined a treatment plan. Highly recommended.

I saw Dr. Golant As a new patient on 1/ 27, 20. I think she may have spent 5 minutes with me, insisted that she should take a biopsy of my rash which I agreed to. As of today, I still have not been able to get the results or speak to anyone in the office. They do not return calls, did not fax the results to my internist, very difficult even to speak to anyone on the phone. I definitely do not recommend coming here. Just trying to get results from the tests has added tremendously to my stress… Stay away from this office

Im extremely unhappy with level of follow up from this office. I was given direction for month long self care and told that someone would be contacting me to schedule the next level of treatment before that time period was up. That never happened. Several phone calls to the office later, I've been told that the doctor will be following up with me via phone call, nothing. In the meantime, I've stopped treatment because I've received no direction for what to do from this point on.

Dr Golant did a very thorough skin check. She also explained a lot as she did the examination. Excellent doctor.
