7 wks left foot, 13wks right. My 1st skinny sandals! So happy with surgery!! Dr. Alexander Pappas, MD at OrthoSC in Myrtle Beach did a phenomenal job with these horrendous bunions! He was professional personable and explained all in detail answering all my questions. His team is great and all at Carolina Bone and Joint Surgery Center were fabulous! I received wonderful care by all! I kept each foot elevated for 10-14 days and used ice boots rotating one on and one in freezer keeping foot iced constantly for 10-14 days. Healing quickly! wish i could post before and after- you wouldn’t believe it!

I have seen Dr. Pappas several times over the course of his practice here in Myrtle Beach. I have found him to be easy to communicate with, understanding, a problem solver, well-trained and experienced. I know MDs here who send their own family members to Dr. Pappas. Highly recommend.

Saw Dr. Pappas after three foot surgeries in Charleston and continued pain and problems with no resolution. Just did surgery with Dr. Pappas and for the first time in three years my foot actually looks normal after surgery (no twisted toes or bones sticking out of the side of my foot). So far I have been very pleased with him from his bedside manner to surgical skills. It's rare that you find a doctor who has both of these. Looking forward to being active and out of pain, thankful he's in my area and would definitely use him again if a need arises!

Dr. Pappas is an excellent surgeon who listens to and answers every question. Very knowledgeable and helpful. I definitely recommend him.

Understood all underlying conditions I have. Listened to my needs and offered several different ways to help. He did surgery on my foot 10 years ago. He found something when I broke my ankle that had been incorrectly diagnosed for a year. He done surgery and cleaned the area, fixed the ligaments and tendons, and shaved the fracture. He worked with me to help me heal. Until now I’ve had no issues with my ankle. This surgery was not for the same thing he did last time. He was very thorough and very understanding to the neuropathy pain that I feel. I respect him as a doctor, and a surgeon, and I trust him

Dr. was ok....his nurse was not. She was unprofessional & not helpful at all. I was prescribed a medication from the dr that required a pre-certification from my insurance company. Her response to me was that I needed to call the insurance co...that she doesn't do 1-800 numbers. I did resolve the insurance issue. Dr's nurse was supposed to submit a form to insurance co. which she apparently never did. Almost 4 weeks later...no follow up call from her and no meds. Time to see another dr.

Total Ankle Replacement. Dr. Pappas truly gave me a second chance at an active life.

Because of Dr. Pappas and his staff, I have a new right foot through surgery and after care. No pain...and I do believe when he is finished with me, I will be able to run. Can't wait for him to tackle my left foot!
