Dr. Alexander Maglunog Jr, MD

Dr. Maglunog leaves much to be desired. For my post-op surgery follow-ups, he didn’t conduct any sort of physical examination of me and simply took one glance at my bandages and said I was fine. He didn’t ask any questions besides “is there anything else” in a dismissive manner - as if I was wasting his time. During my second follow-up, he started using his phone when I began asking my questions - to which he responded w/ “just go to your primary doctor or take some Advil”. The office staff had the same dismissive manner. I understand they're busy, but there’s a difference between being swift/efficient and being straight up unprofessional and rude. After seeing Dr. Maglunog and experiencing his nonchalant approach to my medical care, I feel extremely unassured about his assessment of my health and quality of care with my surgery. Each interaction felt like a complete waste of time. Would not recommend this surgeon if you have a choice.

I was referred to Dr. Maglunog to remove a mole on my back. I checked into the office on time and filled out the necessary paperwork. I waited over 40 mins to be check in. Then I was taken back to a room, where I waited another 15 minutes for Dr. Maglunog. When he came in he seemed confused as to my visit. While I was telling him about my mole his phone rang, without a word to me he stepped out on his call.

Doctor is nice enough. But I've been dissatisfied with the level of care or should I say lack of care by this surgeon. I went to see him the week before Thanksgiving for a problem. I was referred by my PC. Not only did he never physically examine me. He just read my records and told me to call back. I have called numerous times with no response. I finally was able to reach the secretary today and she said that he did call me back. But I never received a call of any kind and no messages either.
