Had few expectations, very professional.
While Dr Legrand doesn't have much of a sense of humor, he seems to know his stuff. He treated me well, asked the right questions, did the checks he needed to do and, was good enough to admit that he wasn't the right person for what I needed done. The appointment lasted about 30 minutes from the point I headed to the exam room 'til it was over. They treated me well and, if something came up where he could help, I'd be willing to give him a try.

Amazing Surgeon!
Dr. Legrand offered me options for my ACL tear. He took the time to discuss details and pros and cons of my choices. He worked with me to make the best decision for me without pushing me in one direction or another. When I returned a year later, with more damage, he explained everything in great detail, and we moved towards a very involved surgery. He prioritized me and was able to complete a great deal of work in one surgery. I am so impressed with Dr. Legrand! After 40 years of experience with orthopedic surgeons, he is at the top of my list, both in bedside manner and expertise. Every person in his office is caring, compassionate, and thorough. Cannot recommend Dr. Legrand enough.

Legrand did a knee replacement for me in 2013. 33 PTs appts later it was still not right. Second opinions suggested a revision. It took Legrand a year to admit that might be the case although he smugly added "you probably don't want me doing it." Gelbke counseled against the revision thinking it could cause MORE unforeseen, lifetime problems. So I live with it.
