Highly recommend
Dr. Deak is the Medical Oncologist currently managing my mom’s chemotherapy for rectal cancer. He is basically the coordinator of her care team. He is kind, honest and empathetic. She is elderly and needs frequent reiteration of next steps in her treatment plan. He does this without any indication that he has said it many times before. I think that is a testament to the type of physician he is (previously known as a physician’s bedside manner). He is knowledgeable to the newest therapeutic modalities and is open to discussing them. She doesn’t feel uncomfortable talking about anything with him. We are extremely grateful that she is receiving such amazing care during this late stage of her life with such a difficult diagnosis.

Very thorough and knowledgeable
Dr, Deak is willing to take the time to discuss treatment options. He recognizes that there is more than one treatment option for a complicated cancer disgnosis. He is willing to evaluate various treatments and balance their success rates versus the adverse effects of those treatments. The overall goal is to create a long term plan to alleviate the disease while not having the patient suffer significant adverse effects from these treatments.

Very Happy With Care
I have found Dr. Deak attentive, caring and well informed about my medical condition. He takes the time to listen to my (and my husband's) questions and gives understandable answers. He does not 'talk down' to us - at the same time he does not rattle off phrases that we cannot understand. I am very satisfied being in his care.

Good visit
Dr. Deak filled in for my regular doctor, Dr. Sprandio,jr on my last visit. He was very kind and professional and up to date on my health issues. He answered all the questions I had explaining in detail what I needed to know. It was a very good visit.

Dr. Deak is a tresure
I was referred to Dr. Deak by my PCP. Dr. Deak and his staff are the best. My appointments were always on time - little if any waiting - and the care I receive is top notch. Dr. Deak takes time to carefully explain things and carefully answer all my questions in simple but informative terms.

Dr. Deak = caring and extremely knowledgeable
Dr/ Deak and I had a serious conversation about MRI and CT scan dyes and pancreatic cysts. He was able to help me understand the medical reasoning and schedule for follow-up of the cysts. It is ironic in that I survived colon cancer in 2004 without needing chemo or radiation, and an "incidental finding" on a MRI of my kidneys (for kidney stones) turned my world upside down. Thank you to Dr. Mikhail and now Dr. Deak for excellent medical care.

It was my first visit with Dr. Deak. He is an excellent doctor and very thorough. I commend a doctor who does not rush their patient and takes time to listen to any concerns they may have as well as address the patient's concerns. He returns your phone calls as well as follow-up with any tests results. He's a pleasure to know and I felt cared for by he and his staff. Very professional.
