Dr. Merkulov is highly trained, very professional and treats patients as individuals--not a number on a scan. He is concerned about each and every patient, and makes it a practice to speak personally with the patient as needed. I have been seeing Dr. Merkulov since 2013, and feel that my care at the NEAG breast center is far superior to that which I previously had elsewhere in the area. I have a professional background, and feel that my observation and experience is accurate.

Dr. Merkulov paid attention to the tiniest indication of something not seen on previous mammograms, proceeded to ultrasound then biopsy and diagnosis of ILC. He was extremely available and followed up to make sure that the surgical team had contacted me. I have never before had a doctor who so clearly wanted to be the best at his job and beyond. C. After a routine mamogram, I was called back for additional views. After the magnified imaging was taken, Dr. Merkolov showed me the results that very day and patiently and kindly reviewed the results with me in language I could understand. He then recommended a biopsy, to which I agreed. Dr. Merkolov performed the biopsy himself, and was so kind and caring that I felt much less anxious. I was extremely impressed by his respectful treatment. He called me himself to tell me that all was well!
