Dr. Gorbonos' combines cutting edge clinical expertise with compassionate care. He truly listens and is willing to listen to concerns. It's rare to find someone who doesn't hurry you out the door or make you feel like you're bothering them. It is not an understatement to say that he is the reason that my cancer was eradicated and I've been enjoying many 'bonus' years.

After getting an MRI he ordered, I have tried contacting him several times to no avail waiting 3 weeks to get results and schedule a biopsy. I will find another urologist one with a sense of urgency and compassion.

Dr. Gorbonos and his team were exceptional in the treatment and care of my cancerous prostate. From performing the initial biopsy to it's eventual removal with state of the art equipment, Dr. Gorbonos was patient and thorough in discussing the diagnosis and describing the treatment options that were available to me. I am extremely confident in his professional expertise, and appreciate his sincere concern and calming demeanor, along with his wit, that he showed throughout the process. In December 2019, I had my yearly physical as always do. Dr. Asima Doriwala notified me that my PSA had elevated and I needed to make a appointment to see her. I was recommended to see Doctor Alex Gorbonos, I looked at his reviews before I went to see him, he had great reviews to say the least. He scheduled a new test to see if the numbers were the same. The test came back that I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. At age 67 I have never faced a moment like this before, but because Dr. Gorbonos he walk me through every steps of the way, because he offered difference options that was available to me. I decided to take the robotics option. The best choice for me. Surgery went very well without any complications: Thank you Dr Gorbonos, I feel truly blessed to have had you as my surgeon. Because I am a black man I like encourage all black men to get your yearly physical . The outcome might have been different. Again thank you Dr Gorbono, you are the best. ????

I had a TURP procedure done two years ago. Very professional and very easy to talk to. I would highly recommend Dr. Gorbonos.

Dr. Gorbonos is an amazing doctor. I can't say enough about how he and the rest of his team took care my Bladder cancer. They performed a Radical Cystectomy with NeoBladder construction on Feb. 1, and I was home on Feb. 5. I've been back for two follow up appointments and have been seen early on both occasions. Dr. Gorbonos is easy to talk with, and explains the medical condition in a way that can be understood. Dr. Gorbonos along with Dr. Van Kuiken, and the rest of the team were AWESOME!

Dr. Gorbonos has as direct. straightforward manner which immediately draws one into trusting his judgment. Although I am from out of state I would recommend this physician to family and friends.

Dr. Garbonas removed my bladder because of cancer. He is a good doctor and does his job well. He is on time or early for appointments . He had a good bedside manner, is caring, understandings and has a good sense of humor. What more can you ask?

Prostate surgery was painless. I was hospitalized for just 24 hours. I felt Dr. Gorbonos was always professional, easy to talk with, consistently answered my questions, never made me feel that he was rushed. Also he has great sense of humor

Dr. Gorbonos Did an excellent job on my kidney surgery it was a very complicated surgery. He used robotic surgery and saved my kidney, and ultimately saved my life. Other Dr.'s wanted to remove the whole kidney. Very happy to have found Dr Gorbonos. His follow up is just as incredible.

Dr. Gorbonos diagnosed my prostate cancer after I had an elevated PSA test. Dr. Gorbonos performed surgery in January 2014 at Loyola University Medical Center. The surgery went well. I have been going back for follow up visits every 6 months. I have been cancer free.

I had cancer on my kidney in spot that was very difficult to get to. There was a good chance that I would lose the entire kidney. Through Dr. Gorbonos' ample expertise, he was able to remove the cancer AND save the kidney. I couldn't be happier with my association with Dr. Gorbonos. He was thoughtful, considerate and caring. He kept my family updated every couple of hours while I was going through a 10 hour surgery. I can't say enough about his professional attitude. I will recommend him to any of my friends. Family member had a 9 hour surgery with Dr. Gorbonos and he still took time to come and seat with our family members which was about 10 of us and explain outcome of surgery and prognosis. Let us ask questions and he answered in a manner that all of us understood. Excellent Doctor!
