I am healthier and happier than I've been my entire adult life, mainly through the care I've received from Dr. Gonzalez.

Would not recommend
Dr Gonzalez refused to prescribe me meds over the phone for a yeast infection while I was travelling out of state. He did not trust my own assessment of what was going on enough to prescribe this very low risk medication, instead suggesting I go to a local urgent care. I ended up accessing the med I needed through an online doctor and it fixed my yeast infection.

Rushed and unhelpful
The whole appointment felt very rushed. I was dealing with something very distressing, and he offered little reassurance and handed me a printout of information I easily found on the internet. While his demeanor was polite, he seemed quick to dismiss my concerns and rush out the door.

Highly recommend- top patient care
Dr. Gonzalez is truly a wonderful MD. He really took the time to listen to me, follow up with me, and made me feel heard/seen while living in chronic pain. I feel really optimistic working w/ him and his tea, and have referred him to many other people since seeing him. It is difficult to find this level of support and care with an MD these days, highly highly highly recommend.

He has been my Primary doctor for over 20 years and I wouldn’t trust any other doctor with my health then him. Not everyday you come across a doctor that is both caring and treats you like a friend then other doctors that only see you as just another patient that’s helping line their pockets with unnecessary tests and exams.

The above critical remarks are not an accurate description of this excellent doctor and a good man. God knows why the writer chose to be so far off the norm is had to say. Sometimes we do bring in an attitude that the professionAL MEDICAL person is left to work with a difficult personality. Once again, I do not know the person just above, but I have seen a lot of inappropriate patient behavior. I am sorry of course she had this bad experience in 2017.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gonzalez for nearly 11 years. Though a very busy person since becoming the Director of Medicine at Fenway he's still not too busy for his patients. My trust and confidence are firmly with Dr. Gonzalez.
