His office sent me a bill for last January and I already told his billing department that in no way will I pay any medical bills to them or to any doctor billing department. I told this psychiatrist's billing department I will never pay. They called me and they sent me 2 bills and they know I will never pay. Furthermore, they work for the Hackensack (Meridian) Medical system so right there you can be sure whatever they are doing is bad. They were bought by Hackensack Meridian.

This review says everything about his CHARACTER- or lack of. Treated me like a dog. I waited 2 months for an apt for post partum anxiety and depression which was listed on my chart. I walk in with my baby and Dr. Cheng sees me, goes into his office and tells the secretary to tell me that that no kids are allowed (not Covid related). They were in earshot but he would not talk to me himself. I said to the secretary “he (my son) doesn’t speak English” and she talked over me and got defensive saying it was policy. AND She acknowledged that the “policy” is not listed or emailed to pts with their initial email and that they need to change that. And she said they can’t make any exceptions. HES IN THE WRONG FIELD. Zero compassion. Big ego. Zero empathy for anyone suffering. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

I wish I saw this review before I went. Definitely a waste of time. 2 months to get an appointment. Office staff was pushy even after I had provided my insurance card before and during the visit I got a bill for over $660 and after I told my story was told sorry we can’t help you after I cried my eyes out. They sent me to another therapist who was about to do the same thing but I asked ahead of time they want to hear my story and decide if they will keep me. I don’t want to waste my time or money. I called to get the document back. and they said I cannot get it. I don’t trust that office. I asked for them to not let the front desk girl to see my info they said they will not and when I called again she was reading stuff from my record.

I wouldn’t recommend this “doctor” to my worst enemy; whatever you do, don’t criticize his methods, cry in his office, or complain in any way, or he will, on a dime, recommend you be in an intensive outpatient program. This is someone with an ego problem who finds himself beyond reproach.
