Dr. Alec Dedavets, MD

Dr. Dedavets has refused to sign my Fathers death certificate and Kaiser has stated that they don't know who my father even is, as in he was never a patient.

Dr. Dedavets is intelligent, calm, My doctor is intelligent, calm, considerate,compassionate, warm and caring. blessed to have him as my primary care physician . I’m absolutely shocked by the negative reviews. Dr Dedavets is one of the big reasons I’m still at Kaiser. Cares and gives excellent advice . I unfortunately have seen a lot of doctors because of other people in my family being sick the last few years and I strongly recommend if you need a doctor this is your man! Thanks Dr Dedavets for everything

He makes you feel rushed.

For reference I am white female in early 20s Dr. Dedavets did not listen to me when I was trying to explain my symptoms, kept cutting in when I was talking, and kept telling me I need to refer to psychiatry because nothing is wrong with me physically. He actually said “nothing serious is wrong with you, you just need to refer to psychiatry”. When I’ve been experiencing various physical symptoms even had a fever. He didn’t even try to give me any tips or advice about how to relieve any of my symptoms. The first thing he did at the appt is pull up my mental health records, like he wasn’t even going to listen to my concerns - he was just blaming everything on my mental health. I’ve never felt discriminated against because of my mental health history before, especially from a doctor. To be clear, I DO NOT suffer from delusions or paranoia or hypochondriac tendencies because of my mental health. So I don’t know why he just assumed everything was in my head. It was very upsetting.

I like Dr dedavets. he's very nice and I never feel rushed. I'm one of them that asks about every little detail about everything and he is very patient with me.
