Dr. Aldene Zeno, MD

I have had a difficult time finding a good Urology doctor. After a couple of unpleasant experiences with other doctors, I happened upon Dr Zeno. She is WONDERFUL! She explained everything thoroughly, so that I could make informed decisions, and she answered all my questions. This doctor is definitely a keeper!

After seeking bladder treatment--with no success--finally I found Dr. Zeno, what an angel. She certainly knows her way around a women's bladder floor. She addressed and fixed my prolapsed bladder and what a relief! I can't say enough great things about Dr. Zeno except to highly recommend her.

We were referred to Dr. Zeno by Dr. Shah. We filled out SEVERAL pages of information on-line prior to the appointment. We have already seen several doctors in the Adventist network, so they also have all of our information available on file. Yet, it was not until the day before the scheduled appointment, at 4:50 pm, that we received a phone call from the medical assistant saying that they do not accept our insurance. (Her words were that they are not contracted with Preferred IPA, and she corrected me when I said they do not accept it, but that’s what it means.) I asked to talk with the office manager, as this was more of a business than a medical question, and was informed that she had “stepped out.” I asked when she would be back, and was told “not today.” So, she has not “stepped out,” she has gone home for the day. I asked if I could talk to her tomorrow and was told yes. I asked when she would be in, and the answer was “I don’t know.” This is a TERRIBLE business.

This was my first visit Dr. Zeno and I had a similar experience with another recent review about how I felt like their office was trying to scam me. Once I stepped into the lobby, the office lady demanded that I pay a $250 deductible. I said I never had to pay a deductible with my previous OBGYN and only should be paying a copay. She then said my insurance might not cover future bills so I need to pay my $250 deductible. She said she would refund me if I paid then didn't have to meet a deductible. After we went back and forth, she finally let up and said she can collect it at a later date if my insurance doesn't cover it. While I was in the patient's waiting room, I was able to get a hold of my insurance to confirm that Dr. Zeno is in network and I am only liable to pay a copay and not $250 deductible. I went to show the office lady the screen shot and she raised her voice and said, 'I said IF you had a deductible.'

First, they asked for $250 before I could be seen, although my insurance provides a $25 co-pay. I put it on my credit card as I was desperate for help. Then when I saw her, she told me re a procedure that might help but said she couldn't do it 'for a couple months'... Then a few months later a message was left on a Monday evening, saying that they could do the procedure the following Friday... I called back several times over the next two days... but no one answered Finally, on Thursday, someone answered and said 'Oh, no.. the procedure is not going to happen. We'll call you.' That was three months ago. The two times I went there was only one person--acting as nurse and receptionist. No other patients were waiting. The other doctors' offices I've been in always have multiple people running around. Almost felt like I got scammed. Still haven't gotten my money back.

I am quite impressed with Dr. Zeno's compassion, patience, empathy and expertise. I have seen her 3 times already. Each appointment was easy to get. Her staff are all warm, friendly, and efficient. I had no wait time at any appointment. She prescribed 2 medicines and might be working--it's too soon to tell and also suggested that I try "acupuncture" for the bladder. I had my first-- out of 10-- today and all went quite well. She explained the technique thoroughly, as did her nurse today who administered it. I am delighted to be Dr. Zeno's patient and am recommending her to many of my friends and doctors.

It feels like waist of my time (2 + hours of waiting around) and parking money. I was referred to Dr Zeno with a specific question. She did not give any solutions or information on my request during the exam. Nor after. When I try to follow up on the matter of my visit and get some feedback and recommendations, it is impossible. I have requested callback multiple times. With no result.

WE DIDN'T TRUST HER !. (AT ALL). WE ARE NOT WILLING TO PUT UP WITH THE LIES - EVER !.
