Busy Dr., great member of the community
Dr. Yao is a busy doctor, it is understandable that wait times can be high sometimes. Some cases make take a bit longer to deal with. It is going to happen with Dr. Yao. If it takes longer to give care, he will do it, and I prefer it this way. The majority of patients that see Dr. Yao are sick or dying. They deserve his attention for as long as it takes to be thorough in diagnosing these illnesses and prescribing treatments. If it takes a bit longer to get through the entire patient schedule, I understand. I give Dr. Yao a full 5-star rating because of his commitment to serving the community inside the office and outside. He takes times to mentor young men and women that are entering the profession. He volunteers his time to teach them about the medical field and guide them as they enter college. He shows them the difficulties of many treatments and introduces them to the political and ethical issues the medical field is faced with today. -5 Stars-

Customer service is horrible
People who work in this place don’t care about the patients, they see you and bother to ask you if they can help. I had an endoscopy and the male nurse who gave the discharge papers, send me upstairs for a sonogram and in there I waited for one hour, only to tell me to go downstairs, and the receptionist told me that that day there were not sonogram for that day. I went through all this while I was dizzy with headache due the procedure. They really need to look into the people who work for the clinic, they really need training!

Dr Yao is a very good Dr. Is the way they manage his office that is horrible, the people that are in-charge of the managing, and I don't even want to mention the people that are chinese that do the Sonoran, instead of waiting for you to move when they tell you move forward, they push you themselves, and they do everything in such a rush.

Dr Yao is very rude. He was not informative at all! He didn’t let me ask any questions about a bacterial infection I had in my stomach, when I attempted to ask any questions he yelled at me and told me to just listen and not any questions...rude rude rude. Stay away!

I walked out of the appointment after waiting almost two hours. The assistant named Ming tried to get me to commit insurance fraud by writing in my chart that I had gastro complaints in order to get approval for a pre-bariatric surgery endoscopy. The facility was dated, dirty and the staff was incredibly rude.

I had my gastroscopy done by Dr Yao in 2016. After it was done, Dr Yao never asked me to come back to see the lab studies, and I assumed it was ok. It was until recently, after my new doctor requested my 2016 lab report, and he told me that I had H. Pylori Bacteria infection in my stomach, for which I shld have been informed by Dr. Yao last year and have it treated it immdiately. However, Dr Yao had done none of that, luckily it wasnt a severe disease, but thereafter, I WILL NOT TRUST HIM again!

His staff is poorly trained and very unprofessional. Let's see, forgot to send script to pharmacy, forgot to remind patient to use enema before operation on hemorrhoid, forgot to remind patient to stop using prior prescription after operation on hemorrhoid. You have to ask them, and they are too busy and give you an altitude to make you feel stupid.

Very bad service in booking and service. Every appoint I made never on time and had to wait at lease 1 and 1/2 hours. The attitude of ladies work there is bad. The same appointment time have several patients. You have to go back for report and wait another hours for 5 minutes!!!!! They have 2 offices, the worst is the Flushing office!

Bad experience. Poor bedside manner. Did not look at me when speaking. Inadequate review of results with me. However, the most shocking was when he told me that he saw a mass in my body via ultrasound but it is not a problem. Meanwhile, I was being treated for cancer for that exact mass/tumor he was referring to. I immediately showed him reports from other doctors and he seemed embarrassed. After that, I will not be returning to this doctor. I am not able to trust his judgement!
